    Job Description / Responsibilities

    • Greet and assist walk-in customers in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Provide information about our logistics services, pricing, and delivery options.
    • Answer customer inquiries about parcel registration, collection, and general logistics processes.
    • Efficiently register parcels into the system ensuring accuracy in customer details, parcel specifications, and delivery instructions.
    • Verify customer identification and collect necessary information for the registration process.
    • facilitate the smooth and secure collection of parcels by verifying customers’ details and providing the correct parcels.
    • Ensure adherence to parcel release protocols and document any deviations.
    • Address and resolve customer concerns issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
    • Collaborate with the other unit to resolve issues and provide feedback to improve service quality.
    • Handle cash transactions accurately, securely issuing receipts, and maintaining an organized cash register.
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures related to financial transactions.
    • Collaborate with Central Processing Station (CPS) and Resolutions teams to ensure timely and accurate parcel deliveries.
    • Assist in managing station logistics, including organizing parcels for dispatch and tripping.
    • Stay informed about updates in logistics processes and share relevant information with the team.
    • Provide exceptional service to our walk-in customers, The responsibilities revolve around efficiently registering and collecting parcels, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring a seamless customer experience at our station.

    CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

    • Excellent Communication skills.
    • Self-control.
    • Attention to details.
    • Empathy.
    • Computer skills.
    • Good emailing etiquette.
    • Ability to work with a team.
    • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
    Qualifications and Requirements
    • Candidates should possess minimum of an OND qualification with 1 – 3 years relevant work experience.

    Work Schedule:

    • 5:00am – 1:30pm (morning shift)
    • 1:00pm – 8:00pm (Afternoon shift)
    • Mondays to Sundays with one day off every week.

    Salary : N60,000 to N80,000 monthly.

    Applications are open for a wide range of organizations, including:

    • Startups and SMEs looking to scale.
    • Social enterprises and cooperatives.
    • Businesses focused on agriculture, cleantech, and social innovation.

    Key Highlights:

    • Funding Opportunities: Grants and on-lending financing.
    • Eligibility: Nigerian-developed solutions with ESG and SDG alignment.
    • Application Deadline: October 20, 2024, at 2 PM.

    Who Can Apply?

    The challenge is open to innovators across three main categories:

    1. Cleantech Innovators

    • Age Requirement: 20-45 years.
    • Grant: Up to ₦2 million for prototyping or demonstration phase solutions.
    • Financing: On-lending options up to ₦1 billion.
    • Focus Areas:
      • Battery recycling.
      • Electric vehicle (EV) digital technology.
      • Conversion of internal combustion engine (ICE) tricycles to EV.
      Additional Requirements:
      • The innovation must be in the prototype phase.
      • Clear scaling plan and viable prototypes are required.
      • Successful applicants will receive grant or financing only for the approved projects.

    2. Agriculture-Based Startups

    • Age Requirement: 18-35 years.
    • Financing: Single-digit financing up to ₦20 million.
    • Focus: Technology-driven, climate-smart agricultural solutions addressing productivity and profitability across the value chain, with a focus on climate resilience and post-harvest loss prevention.
    • Additional Requirements:
      • Solutions should leverage alternative energy sources.
      • Must align with value-chain-based approaches such as production, processing, and distribution of crops or livestock.

    3. Women-Led Social Enterprises

    • Age Requirement: 18-45 years.
    • Grant: Up to ₦2 million.
    • Focus Areas: Renewable energy, climate education, agriculture, and climate action.
    • Additional Requirements:
      • Must align with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
      • Only women-led enterprises are eligible.

    General Eligibility Criteria

    Applicants must meet specific requirements to qualify for the challenge:

    1. Businesses must have operated for at least two years.
    2. Solutions must be locally developed by Nigerians for Nigeria.
    3. Innovations should align with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ESG principles.
    4. A business plan and pitch deck (or proposal for social enterprises) are required.
    5. Only one application per business or social enterprise will be accepted.

    About the Recruitment Process

    The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is set to commence recruitment for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 33/2024, inviting graduates and post-graduates to apply for training as Direct Short Service Cadets in various professions. Here are the key details for interested candidates:

    Application Guidelines

    1. Eligibility: The recruitment is open to graduates and post-graduates who are Nigerian citizens by birth. Applicants must be between the ages of 20 and 30 years (born on or after 27 September 1995). Medical Consultants are eligible up to the age of 40 years (born on or after 27 September 1985).
    2. Application Process:
      • Interested and qualified applicants can apply for free online at www.nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.
      • It is crucial to read the specific discipline requirements before submitting the application, as only one application is allowed. Multiple submissions will lead to disqualification.
    3. Required Documents: Upon completing the online application, applicants must print the following documents:
      • Local Government Area Attestation Form: To be signed by a military/police officer, local government chairman/secretary, magistrate, or principal of the secondary school attended.
      • Parent/Guardian Consent Form.

    • Applicants must possess at least a Second Class Upper Division degree for first-degree holders or an Upper Credit for HND holders.
    • Additionally, candidates must have credits in English Language and Mathematics, along with three other relevant subjects related to their course of study. Computer literacy is an advantage.
    • An NYSC Discharge Certificate or a Letter of Exemption from NYSC is mandatory at the time of application, along with registration certificates from relevant statutory professional bodies, if applicable.

    We’re on an evolutionary journey where we’re changing our story. We are looking to hire an experienced Production Superintendent to join our diverse team in our Company.

    As a Production Superintendent, you will be responsible for:

    • Establishing Production Operations requirements and input these requirements to Production Operations Plans.
    • Assist and supervise the activities of contractors.
    • Preparation of process plant for planned maintenance, reservoir monitoring, pressure survey, etc.
    • Ensures that adequate level of stock of supplies and spares are always   maintained for the smooth operations of the process plant and well head Platform.
    • Responsible for shift schedule to include: Work Station Assignments, Employee Training, Vacations, Back-Up for Absent Employees, and Shift Rotations.
    • Supervising Production Startups, Shutdowns, and Well Change over activities.
    • Optimize the crude oil separation, stabilization and storage processes efficiently and in a safe manner.
    • Develop procedure for startup, operate and shutdown process and process related plant, gas lift compressor facilities and other units as required by the production superintendent.
    • Operate wellhead platform and control facilities in a professional and safe manner.
    • Undertake constant evaluation of plant operating conditions so that abnormalities are promptly detected and resolved.
    • Keep abreast of changes to operating programs and control system.
    • Efficient operation of the gas lifts system and associated facilities.
    • Promoting a positive approach to Safety in all aspects of Production Operations which reinforces Company Safety Management Systems.
    • Ensuring that the Production Operations activities requirements are implemented according to Production Plan.
    • Responsible for monitoring and ensuring efficient operation of the plant and handing over to the incoming crew in a systematic and orderly manner.
    • To regularly patrol the plant and ensure that equipment is performing in the designed, safe manner and that standby spare equipment are available for immediate use if required.
    • Calculate daily productions, compare production rates, BS &W, API gravity, etc and report to the production superintendent. Ensure crude oil specification for exports, reduce water content to less than 0.05%, supervises crude oil analysis for ASTM standards, BS &W determination, API gravity, salt etc. Adequate meter proving to ensure efficiency of meters for actual volume of crude oil delivered. Ensure protection of equipment through corrosion monitoring probes, correct dosage of biocides. Analyze for Sulphur Reducing Bacteria etc.
    • Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, Security and Environment. HSSE.
    • Maintain accurate and timely plant parameters logging and equipment data, closely follow their performance and raise timely work orders for correction when required.
    • Prepare and hand over equipment in a safe manner to maintenance staff for repairs and take back in service after checks as per Work Permit procedure.
    • Prepare weekly production operational report.

    What are we looking for?

    • Minimum of BSc in Engineering,
    • Candidate must be a member of COREN
    • Other relevant Professional certifications.
    • Minimum of 7 years work experience
    • Must have prior experience in production optimization, and ongoing production and maintenance operations activities.
    • Working knowledge of industry software packages such as OFM/DSS
    • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle multiple tasks with changing and conflicting responsibilities and accountabilities
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing to a wide range of audiences within the business
    • Exhibit the qualities of a good team player such as conveying a positive attitude within/outside the organization, contributing ideas, and collaborating with team members to find new ways of working efficiently to extract the maximum value from assigned assets
    • Demonstrated ability or capacity to use engineering skills to solve problems and identify enhancement opportunities

    MISSION
    To function as Head of the Operations team reporting to the Surfer Fleet Manager and support the Fleet Manager in his duties as Functional head for Operation of the Surfers and Training Centre with Referent Pilots.

    • Supporting the Fleet Manager in his role as single point accountability for his dedicated vessels vis-à-vis the SBUM, Contract Managers
    • Regular interface with the Quality, HSE, Procurement, and Technical Departments for services required by FCB operations.
    • Interface with the Crew Manager for crew planning.
    • Ensure Crew Matrix is in line with client and Flag state requirements
    • Assisting in the supervision of the Technical Department through the Technical manager as directed by the Surfer Fleet Manager.
    • Supporting, establishing and coordinating the Backup fleet operationally to allow for proper maintenance and effective Dry Docking of the surfer fleet
    • Monitoring BOURBON Quality and HSE policy implementation for Surfer operations and reporting variances with recommended action plans.
    • Support incident investigations
    • Perform regular visits on board including both checks and promotion of the HSE culture
    • Ensure there are proper procedures in place to cover relevant segments of the fleet
    • Support the adequate provision of Surfer vessels to meet client’s demands
    • Deputize for the Surfer Fleet Manager and able to provide commercial and operational guidance as well as reports to the SBUM and management as required.
    • To Ensure management of preventive and corrective maintenance as well as validating procurement requests, inspections and oversight over the stores.

    • A Master’s degree in Marine Transport, Maritime Management or equivalent working experience or any other related discipline
    • Master of Business Administration will be an asset
    • Lead Auditor Training for Quality Management Systems incorporating the International Safety Management Code for the Safe Operation of Ships and Pollution Prevention (ISM and ISO 9002) will be an added advantage.
    • Leadership competences, able to manage a team while being a team player
    • 5 years’ relevant work experience as Vessel Manager or over 10 years as an Operations or Fleet Manager with the ambition to be promoted to Vessel Manager
    • In-depth knowledge of Fleet Management IT systems
    • A good command of written and spoken English.
    • Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure
    • A strong motivation to work in a challenging and dynamic environment in the Maritime Industry
    • Highly skilled and experienced in the areas of:
    • Good Knowledge of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) setting, monitoring and tracking
    • Good inter Personnel Management skills
    • Good Quality Control Skills
    • Good and vast knowledge of Safety Management and Regulatory Compliance, International Safety Management (ISM) and International Standards Organization (ISO) Codes – Monitoring and Auditing
    • Good Knowledge Environmental Awareness and Auditing

    Work Experience
    • Minimum of 10 years’ and above relevant experience in the maritime industry which  should have been preferably onboard seagoing vessels.
