Job Title: Fleet Manager

Job Summary

  • The Fleet Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-effective operation of all vehicles, forklifts, and related equipment.
  • The role oversees preventive maintenance, repairs, and compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. It requires strong focus on reliability, fuel efficiency, tyre and lubricant management, and the effective use of ERP and electronic monitoring systems.
  • The Fleet Manager will also drive governance, audit readiness, and green fleet initiatives while leading technicians and drivers to deliver high performance, safety, and accountability across all fleet activities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain 90%+ availability of vehicles and forklifts.
  • Implement preventive maintenance, preventive diagnostics to avoid breakdowns and reliability tracking.
  • Coordinate failure assessments and condition reports for timely approvals.
  • Manage workshop tools, equipment certification, and enforce 5S standards.
  • Supervise hot work, welding, and refurbishment activities while observing safe work procedures.
  • Ensure oversight on all technicians to ensure compliance with PPEs and environmental protection requirements.
  • Efficiently track aggregate performance and lubricant usage.
  • Monitor fuel efficiency through proactive reviews and the use of an electronic fuel management system.
  • Ensure functionality of electronic devices (speed limiters, telematics, vision systems).
  • Administer the annual fleet budget efficiently.
  • Oversee tyre management to achieve the lowest cost per kilometre.
  • Enforce corporate SOPs and the company’s policies at the plant level.
  • Ensure government and environmental regulation compliance to prevent operational disruptions.
  • Maintain audit readiness and governance across all fleet activities.
  • Support driver recruitment, training, and evaluation.
  • Identify and address training needs for workshop staff.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual service level agreement and workplace accountability requirements.
  • Use ERP systems to gather and analyse daily fleet activity.
  • Implement green fleet initiatives aligned with Coca-Cola Hellenic’s net zero goals.
  • Lead accident investigations, breakdown recovery, and insurance processing.

Requirements for the Position of Fleet Manager at Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company

  • B.Sc./HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural (FPM) Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Fleet Manager or Fleet Specialist.
  • Cognate experience in the technical functionality and maintenance of PMS, AGO, and gas-driven vehicles.
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office, SAP, or any known ERP packages and digital tools.
  • Practical knowledge of welding, fabrication, and assembly of vehicles and semi-trailers will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and possession of an innovative mindset.
  • He or she must possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Skilled in fleet cost analysis, workshop management, special service tools, and knowledge in vehicle spare parts.
  • Fleet Safety certifications by recognized bodies.
  • Must understand the installation, maintenance, and use of telemetry devices and applications.
