Job Summary

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and overseeing commercial operations for Cormart’s adhesive product line, Bond, PVC Glue, Sealants, and Waterproof Powder across the Eastern Region, covering Onitsha, Owerri, Aba, Umuahia, and Enugu. The role involves leading and managing a team of Sales Executives, building strong distributor and retail relationships, and ensuring the region consistently meets its revenue targets. The Territory Sales Manager is expected to combine strategic planning with active field involvement to grow Cormart’s presence and market share in the East.

Job Details

  • Develop and implement a regional sales plan for Cormart’s adhesive products across all assigned Eastern Region territories 
  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Sales Executives — set clear targets, conduct performance reviews, and carry out regular joint field visits 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, hardware chains, contractors, and institutional buyers across the region 
  • Ensure the region consistently achieves monthly and quarterly revenue targets for adhesive products.
  • Identify new business opportunities — new territories, customer segments, or high-volume accounts — and lead efforts to develop them 
  • Negotiate trade terms and close agreements with distributors and key accounts in line with company policy 
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and trade promotions within the region; provide actionable market feedback to management 
  • Ensure product availability and visibility across key retail and distributor touchpoints throughout the region 
  • Oversee credit management — ensure customers pay within agreed terms and escalate overdue accounts where necessary 
  • Maintain accurate records of regional sales performance, team activities, and key account interactions 
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly regional performance reports to the National Sales Manager 
  • Handle escalated customer issues and ensure timely and professional resolution

Requirements for the Position of Territory Sales Manager – Adhesives at Cormart Nigeria Limited

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field 
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive sales experience in building materials, adhesives, construction chemicals, or FMCG, with at least 2 years in a team leadership or supervisory capacity 
  • Strong knowledge of the Eastern Nigerian market — trade dynamics, distribution channels, and key industry players 
  • Proven ability to lead a sales team, set targets, and maintain a high standard of performance accountability 
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills 
  • Ability to interpret sales data and translate findings into clear commercial action 
  • Willingness to travel extensively across all Eastern Region territories
