Requirements for Oil and Gas Technical Apprentice Programme 2025
To be considered for the Oil and Gas Internship Technical Apprentice Programme, you must satisfy the following criteria:
1. Have a National Identity Number (NIN) before applying for the OGTAP Scheme. Applicants are to note that they will be required to verify their NIN before proceeding with the application (NIMC verification charges apply). ALSO NOTE THAT MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS WILL LEAD TO AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION.
2. Must be 16-35 years of age by May of the year of applying,
3. Ordinary Level (O’ Level) WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or NBAIS – either external (GCE) or internal and must have a credit grade C in the following subjects.
- Mathematics
- English
- Physics,
- Chemistry
- One Other
1. OGTAP will also consider your application if you have the below qualifications in Engineering, Science, and other related fields.
- Diploma (OND & Others)

JOB SUMMARY
- The Personal Assistant (P.A) provides time management and administrative support for the Executive office in Oando.
- The P.A. primarily assists in managing daily itinerary by updating work calendar and scheduling/co-coordinating business meetings and appointments, business travel or other arrangements.

- Processes incoming and outgoing mail, directing to appropriate departments/personnel for necessary action
- Maintains an effective document and filing management system for the Executive’s Office.
- Processes purchase orders and expense claim forms for the Executive’s Office and for other management employees as may be directed.
- Ensures necessary stationery supplies, office equipment purchase & maintenance, regular housekeeping etc.
- Attends to private issues on behalf of the executive such as settling utility bills, handling domestic staff, banking & other private errands

- Always projects a professional image for Oando, due to the nature of clients.

A CCTV Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) surveillance systems to ensure security and surveillance within station and company properties. The role requires both technical and practical expertise in handling cameras, wiring, networking, and troubleshooting security systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of Three (3) years’ experience in the information technology department of a similar organisation Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Computer Science or a related discipline
Responsibility
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and configuration of CCTV systems, including IP and analog cameras.
- Performing system testing, troubleshooting, and fault resolution for existing CCTV systems.
- Maintaining CCTV equipment, ensuring the functionality of cameras, storage devices, and related software.
- Planning and installing cable routes for the CCTV network.
- Configuring video management software (VMS) and integrating CCTV systems with other security systems like access control.
- Providing technical support to staff and addressing any service issues.
- Conducting regular system audits, inspections, and upgrades to enhance security effectiveness.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant safety and security regulations.
- Documenting installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Technical Proficiency:

Context & Environment
- The job is located at IIP TotalEnergies Aviation Office in JUHI, and requires constant interactions with the crewmen, Airlines Representatives, Aviation Business Development Manager (ABDM), Aviation Operations Manager (AOM) and other inter-related departments for effective service delivery to our Airline customers.
- Aviation operations is guided by strict standards of JIG, IATA and AFQRJOS.

Activities
HSE:
- Ensures the enforcement of all TotalEnergies Golden rules and the use of STOP Cards.
- Ensures the implementation and sustenance of HSSE management system with JIG HSSE MS as a priority for IIP aviation.
- Ensures prompt reporting and recording of near misses and anomalies.
- Ensures that fuelling operations are performed with the strictest safety standards (zero spill, zero accidents).
Product Quality:
- Ensures product quality control and assurance across the supply chain in line with aviation quality standards.
- Liaise with Supply Manager in ensuring that Jet Fuel supply meets quality specifications.
Logistics & Operations:
- Liaise with logistics Manager on logistics arrangements and product supply to all aviation depots.
- Responsible for coordinating into-plane fuelling services and efficient Aviation Operations of TotalEnergies in Lagos.
- Ensure efficient stock monitoring is done in IIP aviation by reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly variance report.
Inspections and Process Reviews:
- Review and update periodically all the procedures and work instructions relevant to IIP fuelling operations in line with MOCQAT.
- Carry out self-assessment of fuelling operations in line with JIG standards.
Human Development and Management:
- Ensure that aviation fuelling crewmen are regularly trained in accordance with JIG standards and HSSE procedures.
- Lead, inspire and develop aviation operations fuelling crewmen to meet current and future operational requirements.
Internal & External Stakeholders Management
- Regularly liaise with government agencies such as FAAN, NCAA and NMDPRA on aviation operations matters.
- Carry out quarterly fuelling operations meeting and obtain feedback from airlines to ascertain areas of improvement through survey
- Liaise with Aviation Truck Drivers Union (NUPENG) and Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union (PTD) for smooth transportation of products to various airport depots.
Candidate Profile
- B.Sc / HND in Engineering / Sciences, with at least 3 years post graduate experience in depot operations
- Effective communication skills, good supervisory skills, excellent customer relations, and stock management skills.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and experience in driving articulated vehicles.

- Communicate with Transporters on Driver violations and assign appropriate sanction(s) for offences.
- Monitor all OBC downloads and identify non-functional OBC Units.
- Liaising with Transporters and OBC Consultants to ensure faulty devices are promptly reported and repaired.
Candidate Profile
- BSc / HND in Engineering, Computer Science, or Social Sciences with at least 2 years post graduate experience.
- Knowledge of OBC systems will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in the use of data analysis, management & visualization tools including Microsoft excel, power point & power Bi.
- Great communication and interpersonal relationship skills.

Job Description
The Plant Efficiency Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the plant performance, providing technical expertise and engineering support in the area of plant performance and efficiency to address any potential gap.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor the performance of assigned generating units as well as the performance of individual equipment and subsystems (e.g., boilers, turbines, condensers, FW heaters).
- Determine the causes of generating unit performance losses through diagnostic analysis of operational data for both steady-state and transient operation, along with physical inspection of plant components as required.
- Initiates improvements to generating units to optimize plant performance.
- Monitor, analyse, evaluate, and investigate reliability issues in systems, processes, and equipment.
- Coordinate performance tests & develop improvement methods.
- Provide technical assistance to improve system performance, capacity and reliability.
- Analyse and troubleshoot discrepancies between current operating data, model predictions and long-term operating trends.
- Guide and assist the Maintenance and Operation departments to effect improvements in plant performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot abnormal operating events and coordinate a solution between relevant parties.
- Model and predict consumption of gas, water and other consumables, compare to current and long-term trends, analyse the results and make recommendations for improvements.
- Generate periodic performance reports for management review.
Education and Work Experience
- A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Mechanical or Process Engineering
- Postgraduate/relevant professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience in Steam Power plant operations or 3 – 5 years in an efficiency role.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of operations of steam turbine power plant and its generation components; turbine, boiler, BOP etc.
- Knowledge of calculating power plant indices.
- Knowledge of key machine performance characteristics.
- Competence to identify, measure and improve performance on key operating parameters of the operations of the power plant.
- Ability to identify impending problems and take preventive measures.
- Analytical ability for technical problem-solving.
- Knowledge of power plant chemistry.
- Knowledge of safety, environment, OHSAS and other statutory norms.
- Ability to pay attention to details.
- Good relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.

Job Purpose
To align HR strategies with the overall business objectives for the Retail Business unit.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Act as the primary HR contact for the Retail Business Unit, aligning HR strategies with business goals.
• Define and refine strategy for the recruitment of retail station staff.
• Record attendance and punctuality at the retail stations and report to the HR leadership monthly.
• Prepare monthly salary consolidation reports to facilitate the prompt payment of salaries for the retail station staff.
• Resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances within the retail business.
• Lead HR-driven initiatives that support continuous improvement and operational excellence at the retail stations.
• Ensure the complete onboarding of all recruited staff including background verifications.
• Manage disciplinary procedures and ensure fair and consistent application of organizational policies.
• Support the identification of key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with business performance and ensure accountability.
• Support retail station staff’s performance management process (including KPI setup and appraisals).
• Manage HMO registration and HMO related issues in the organization.
• Maintain a record of employee files and documentation.
• Coordinate team fostering and bonding activities and improve relationships among teams.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- 5 – 6 years’ experience in an HR generalist role.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- HR professional certification (CIPM, SHRM-CP, PHRi/SPHRi).
- A Masters’ degree will be an advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of HR best practices.
- Ability to work in a multicultural team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of change management and stakeholder management.
