    About The Program

    Triumph Power and Gas (TPG) is seeking a dynamic and motivated Engineering Operations Interns to join our Operations team for 12months. The interns will play a key role in supporting various operational functions, including project management, business analysis, and tender/order execution. The candidate will work closely with the Operations Department to ensure successful project delivery while meeting time, cost, and performance objectives.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Assist in project tasks, including scheduling and coordination for smooth execution.
    • Organize and maintain project documents for easy reference.
    • Communicate clearly with the team, sharing ideas and updates.
    • Learn quickly and adapt to new tasks and changing situations.
    • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to contribute to team success.
    • Support project status reporting for management updates.

    Requirements for Oil and Gas Technical Apprentice Programme 2025

    To be considered for the Oil and Gas Internship Technical Apprentice Programme, you must satisfy the following criteria:

    1. Have a National Identity Number (NIN) before applying for the OGTAP Scheme. Applicants are to note that they will be required to verify their NIN before proceeding with the application (NIMC verification charges apply). ALSO NOTE THAT MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS WILL LEAD TO AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION.
    2. Must be 16-35 years of age by May of the year of applying,
    3. Ordinary Level (O’ Level) WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or NBAIS – either external (GCE) or internal and must have a credit grade C in the following subjects.
    • Mathematics
    • English
    • Physics,
    • Chemistry
    • One Other
    1. OGTAP will also consider your application if you have the below qualifications in Engineering, Science, and other related fields.
    • Diploma (OND & Others)
    • Higher National Diploma (HND, NCE & Others)

    Benefits of the 2025 OGTAP Oil & Gas Internship Program

    As a participant of the OGTAP Oil and Gas Apprenticeship program, you can earn while you learn, work alongside some of the best in the industry, and gain globally recognised qualifications.

    Apprentices attend an industry-appointed college for 21 months, gaining various qualifications including:

    • Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) Level 2 (Performing Engineering Operation)
    • National Certificate (multi-discipline)

    • OPITO Global Standards – Oil and Gas Level 2

    After college, OGTAP apprentices spend two years with a sponsoring energy company where they receive expert training and mentoring, gaining industry-specific skills as well as an SVQ Level 3 in their chosen discipline.

    About the Internships Program at FAO

    • The Internship Programme aims to attract talented young women and men who are strongly motivated to share their new perspectives, innovative ideas, and latest academic experience in FAO’s domains. The Programme provides a learning opportunity to the participants to supplement their academic knowledge with a practical work assignment in a field related to the work of FAO.
    • Through the FAO internship experience, interns will contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and FAO’s Strategic Framework to support the 2030 Agenda through the transformation to MORE efficient, inclusive, resilient and sustainable agri-food systems for better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life, leaving no one behind.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Enrolled in an under-graduate, graduate degree programme in a “bona fide” educational institution at the time of application or recent graduate. Please note that FAO only considers higher educational qualifications obtained from an institution accredited/recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED), a list updated by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The list can be accessed at http://www.whed.net/
    • Candidates must specialize in a field relevant to the mission and work of FAO.
    • Working knowledge of at least one FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian or Spanish). Knowledge of a second FAO language will be considered an asset.
