1. Job Title: Customer Service Officer – Kano

Job Description
  • Are you an experienced Customer Service Officer?
  • We have an exciting opportunity for you!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure effective and timely service delivery to customers at all customer service unit.
  • Ensure efficient Turn Around Time (TAT)in line with service level agreements.
  • Ensure timely and error free processing.
  • Ensure timely execution of end-of-day procedures including reports.
  • Ensure effective utilization- of-physical assets at the Customer Service Unit
  • Recommend Process Improvements as it relates to Customer Service in a bid to ensure service efficiency and cost minimization.
  • Ensure Zero Fraud Tolerance and Regulatory Infraction
  • Effective Cost Management to ensure that Customer Service sub-units are efficient.
  • Perform Account maintenance function which includes account upgrade and update, stop cheques, standing instruction, internet banking, Account restriction request and removal etc.)
  • Drive digital adoption in the branch.
  • Maintain and update customer files

Requirements

Education/Qualification

  • A Bachelor of either Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or any related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ banking experience in Customer Service.

2. Job Title: Trade Finance Officer

Job Description

The Trade Finance Officer is responsible for the execution of the Bank’s trade transactions. The Officer will deliver an efficient, effective, comprehensible, and reliable solution for every stage of a customer’s trade value chain to support their local and international activities. The officer will also provide the necessary support required to perform the remittance activities in the Bank and liaise with money transfer operators on behalf of the Bank.

Responsibilities include:

  • Form M initiation and approval
  • Establishment, amendment, and payment of Letters of credit, SBLCs and Guarantees
  • Initiation of Bills for Collection transactions
  • Liaising with CBN for operational issues resolution
  • Processing of export transactions
  • Treasury product settlement and reconciliation
  • Reconciliation of accounts (Nostro, Settlement, transit etc.)
  • Confirmation and acceptance of transactions on appropriate applications
  • First level Processmaker Approval for Trade related transactions
  • FX inflow and outflow processing
  • Manage relationship with Webfontainne on the CBN portal
  • Processing and collection of custom duty revenue
  • Correspondent Bank account management
  • First level invisibles payment approval
  • First level Bills for collection approval
  • Treasury operations settlement
  • Review, receipt, release, and processing of shipping documents & Pre-Arrival Assessment Report
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Good knowledge of the CBN FX manual on all international settlement transactions
  • Good knowledge of relevant manuals, regulations, publications, circulars, and guidelines on Treasury Products
  • Minimum experience – 3 years relevant banking experience.
  • Confidence and proficiency in commercial banking operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
