Job Title: Senior Business Performance Analyst
Role Accountabilities
- Business Performance Analysis: Analyse financial and operational performance, monitor key performance indicators, identify trends and variances, and recommend actions to improve business results.
- Executive Reporting & Performance Reviews: Lead monthly performance reviews and prepare management reports, dashboards and Board/Executive presentations, providing critical insights to support decision-making.
- Strategy & Business Performance Improvement: Partner with business leaders to develop and evaluate strategic plans, identify growth and efficiency opportunities, address performance gaps and support the execution of improvement initiatives.
- Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting: Coordinate business planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, critically reviewing assumptions, operational targets and financial projections.
- Financial Modelling & Decision Support: Develop financial models and conduct in-depth financial and commercial analysis to support strategic initiatives, cost optimisation and investment decisions.
- Data Analytics & Business Intelligence: Leverage analytical and BI tools to analyse complex datasets, automate reporting, improve data quality and strengthen performance visibility.
- Team Oversight & Quality Assurance: Guide junior analysts, review analytical outputs and ensure timely, accurate and high-quality deliverables.

Key Requirements for the Analyst Jobs At Sahara Group
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in business performance management, financial planning and analysis, business analytics, management consulting, corporate finance or related roles.
- Experience in the energy sector or other complex, data-intensive industries is an advantage.
- Relevant professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, challenge assumptions and develop actionable insights.
- Good understanding of financial analysis, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business performance management.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand business drivers and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modelling and executive-level presentations.
- Experience with Power BI or similar data analytics and visualisation tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present insights and influence senior management.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, manage competing priorities and guide junior analysts.
