2. Job Title: Geomatics Surveyor
Job Purpose
To provide positioning support services and control to all major engineering projects within Renaissance. Scope of services includes major pipeline construction, major facility construction/upgrade, field development projects, major flowline replacement activities, wells and seismic survey activities. Including litigation, oil spill survey response and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver geomatics survey component in Exploration, Development, Production and Asset Management activities.
- Provide inputs into update of Geomatics specifications, Service Level Agreements, Value Tracker, Geomatics incident register, Geomatics processes and statutory requirements and provide alignment with Geomatics work instructions/processes and best practices.
- Represent all aspects of Geomatics capabilities and responsibilities in engagements with customers.
- Embed improvements in HSSE behaviors and performance through appropriate planning, auditing, and inspections of contractor’s work areas and equipment for a project.
- Responsible for and review plans of CSRs to ensure that each project is governed by a comprehensive Project Specific HSSE and ER plan. Participates in HSE incident investigation and close out of projects. The role is HSE-critical.
- Contribute to minimizing costs of projects without jeopardizing the overall project objectives or HSSE performance.
- • Liaise with customers to influence project design, timing and delivery. Track costs and performance during project execution.
- Participate in review meetings and share learnings for all other projects where they could be applicable.
- Use experiences with current operations and newly deployed technological solutions to enhance workflows for projects across Renaissance areas of operation.
- Analyze the operational, cost and technical performance of surveys, with the aim of harnessing newly developed technology that has not yet been deployed in Renaissance.
- Influence the revision and ever-greening of Geomatics technical standards and specifications to enable co-ordination that supports Renaissance needs. Know and implement DCAF standards. Coordinate Technical Assurance of individual deliverables. Liaise with TA2/1 to ensure QC actions are closed out and documented.
- Participate in Geomatics discipline activities. Be part of one discipline improvement project.
- Ensure that onshore operation surveys practices in Renaissance are fully aligned to Renaissance and industry specifications and standards.
- Represent Renaissance to professional bodies, governmental authorities, partners, and contractors regarding survey issues (both technical and regulatory) for varying projects. Participate in and present to internal and external conferences. Sharing knowledge and experience, recognizing technology gaps and opportunities.
- Act as contract user to specialized survey positioning contract for the delivery of survey work.
Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in in Surveying & Geomatics degree (B.Sc., B. Tech.) from a recognized university.
- Previous experience as a QA/QC Surveyor, Party Leader, Project Surveyor or related role.
- 3+ years of post-graduation survey experience with sound knowledge of Geodesy, Topographical, Engineering, Cadastral and Hydrographic survey. Including Programming and be skill in use of ESRI ArcGIS suite of applications.
- Experience working within the Oil & Gas industry will be considered an important advantage.
- Must be registerable by the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON).

3. Job Title: Operations and Maintenance Technician
Job Purpose
- The Operations and Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing safe, efficient and reliable production operations and first-line maintenance activities on wells, facilities, equipment and associated systems.
- The role contributes to maximising asset availability, achieving production targets and maintaining operational integrity through effective equipment inspection, troubleshooting, testing and repair, as well as production/process monitoring and control room operations.
- All activities must be performed in accordance with approved company procedures, regulatory requirements and Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) standards, while supporting continuous improvement in production, maintenance and asset performance.
Rotation Cycle
The role is field-based and will operate on a 21-days-on/21-days-off rotation cycle (or similar) across applicable onshore, swamp or offshore production locations.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Operating oil and gas facilities, wells and associated assets safely and efficiently in accordance with approved operating procedures and HSSE requirements.
- Executing routine and minor non-routine production operations, first-line maintenance, equipment isolation, depressurisation and reinstatement activities.
- Carrying out preventive, predictive, corrective and routine first-line maintenance on plant, process equipment and associated systems.
- Inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing and rectifying equipment and process faults to minimise downtime and maintain asset reliability.
- Performing routine equipment servicing, installation, commissioning, calibration, adjustment and functional testing in accordance with approved manuals, procedures and work practices.
- Monitoring plant and equipment performance, collecting and recording field data, and identifying potential failures and opportunities for performance improvement.
- Measuring, validating and accurately reporting production volumes and collecting required samples for analysis.
- Diagnosing and responding appropriately to plant and facility upsets and implementing approved corrective actions to restore safe and stable operations.
- Interpreting and applying technical drawings, schematics, manuals, classification drawings, instrument loop drawings and other relevant technical documentation.
- Implementing approved recommendations to improve asset performance, reliability and integrity.
- Participating in planned shutdowns, turnarounds, maintenance campaigns, equipment overhauls and other operational or maintenance activities as required.
- Ensuring that all work, particularly non-routine and potentially hazardous activities, is executed in accordance with Permit-to-Work requirements, approved procedures and HSSE standards.
- Conducting Unsafe Act/Unsafe Condition audits, identifying hazards and implementing or escalating corrective actions to protect people, assets and the environment.
- Maintaining accurate records of production, maintenance activities, equipment condition, faults, repairs, inspections and materials used.
- Safely operating and maintaining tools, test equipment and workshop equipment, while supporting the availability of required spare parts and maintenance materials.
- Promptly reporting equipment defects, unsafe conditions, incidents and operational risks and taking appropriate action within the limits of assigned authority.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across plant, facility and work areas.
- Collaborating effectively with engineers, supervisors, operators, contractors and other technical personnel to resolve operational and equipment-related issues.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement in production, equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency and overall operational performance.
- Complying with company policies, applicable regulatory requirements, operating standards and HSSE requirements.
- Performing other related duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
Education / Professional Qualifications:
- Ordinary National Diploma (OND/ND), Full Technological Certificate, Advanced Technical Diploma, relevant trade qualification or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, Electronics, Sciences or another relevant technical discipline.
- Relevant technical certification or professional qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience in technical maintenance, field operations and/or control room operations within an industrial, manufacturing, energy, oil and gas or similar operating environment.
- Experience in upstream production operations, particularly within the oil and gas, petrochemical, manufacturing or industrial maintenance sectors, will be an added advantage.
Technical Competencies
Candidates should demonstrate:
