Mission:

  • Administer and co-ordinate the MTNN formal meetings. 
  • Support the Deputy Company Secretary/ Company Secretary with MTN Group requirements and compliance with its approach towards corporate governance.

Description:

  • File and retrieve documents, records and reports and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client and company information, ensuring accurate filing of statutory documents.
  • Provide statistical data, as may be required and file and retrieve organizational documents, records and reports. Support smooth shareholder relations and interaction complexities between board members and shareholders.
  • Support overall compliance with all mandates, delegations, and authorities from the Board are complied with and in line with MTN’s corporate governance and group policy.
  • Support the provision of secretarial services to the MTN Board and members, including arranging board meetings, organizing related logistics, taking and distributing minutes of board meetings and ensuring the integrity, security and confidentiality of information.
  • Support the administration and performance of a diversity of corporate/statutory secretarial function for MTNN, coordinating activities which include; composing correspondences, compiling reports, word processing, spreadsheet creation and manipulation of reports.
  • Provide support services to directors on their duties and ensure compliance with corporate legislation and the articles of association of the company.
  • Draft minutes of Board/Board Committee general meetings, assisting in documentation and preparation of memos, letters, etc.
  • Coordinate Board of Directors’ calendar for the year, attending all Board/Board Committees general meetings of MTNN and Subsidiaries.

Education:

  • LLB, BA Law or equivalent qualification
  • First degree in any relevant discipline 
  • Fluent in English

Experience:

  • 6-13 years’ experience which includes:
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience in supervising/managing others
    • Experience working in a medium to large organization
    • Knowledge of Nigerian telecommunications, investment and financial environment will be an advantage
    • Commercial/technical and/or further legal qualification will be an advantage
