Job Role
- Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
- Prepare reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
- Prepare a ratio trend and cash flow analyses and create projections.
- Evaluate customer records and recommend payment plans based on earnings, savings data, payment history, and purchase activity.
- Draft models of credit information that predicts trends and patterns.
- Confer with credit association and other business representatives to exchange credit information.
- Complete loan applications, including credit analyses and summaries of loan requests, and submit to loan committees for approval.
- Generate financial ratios, using computer programs, to evaluate customers’ financial status.
- Review individual or commercial customer files to identify and select delinquent accounts for collection.
- Compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of establishments being evaluated with those of similar establishments in the same industries and geographic locations.
- Consult with customers to resolve complaints and verify financial and credit transactions.
- Carefully analyze data and produce clear and objective reports.
- Adequately assist the Head Accountant in handling the operation of the Accounting/Financial department, preparation of financial reports and yearly operating budget to aid management decision making and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist the Head Accountant in the reconciliation of bank account statements.
- Assist the Head Accountant in the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounts for the company
- Assist the Head Accountant in the maintenance of the fixed asset records and ensure proper accounting for fixed assets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out general accounting record keeping of payables and receivables
- Preparation of monthly financial reports quarterly, half yearly and yearly financial and budgeting reports of the institute.
- Reversal and corrections of wrong postings and entries
- Posting period Journals (Provisions, Accruals & salary Journals)
- Assist the Head Accountant in the Review of Prepayment Schedule and post Recurring JVs on all Prepayment Balances.
- Ensure that new Prepayments are updated on Excel Prepayment Schedule.
- Ensure that all previous provision & accrual are still relevant while those already settled are released.
- Post recurring entries (each entity should have list of recurring entries
- Assist the Head Accountant in the Preparation of SFP analysis (Vendor, Debtor age analysis & Related Party Transactions)
- Assist the Head Accountant in the Preparation of balance sheet notes
- Make accruals for all services received but not invoiced
- Assist the Head Accountant in the Review & Reconcile Payroll Summary Report to the GL Accounts.
- Assist the Head Accountant in the preparation and submission of Comments on the Net Income Statements for Review
- Carry out all administrative duties in the account department, inclusive but not limited to bank runs, Fuel and stationary purchases, logistics and deliveries of official items, etc.
- Any other duties that may be assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree in any relevant field with 3-6 years work experience.
Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 monthly.
