4, Job Title: Maintenance Team Lead
Job Summary
Maintenance Team Lead ensure all machines and equipment are always available for production use through practice of effective maintenance programs that reduce emergency breakdowns to the barest level, and at a minimum cost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify jobs and allocate same to the technician for execution
- Supervises junior associates to ensure that they carry out jobs according to instructions
- To ensure that the necessary safety precautions are observed in executing tasks
- Logs and documents all maintenance activities in the required logbooks
- Ensures optimal spare parts and maintenance materials inventory management
- Develops and coaches, and provides feedback to team members for better performance
- Establishes and maintains productive relationships with team, internal customers and stakeholders
- Learns best practices from outside and shares own best practices within SBC
- Promotes process automation and use of technology within the business
- Establishes, monitors and reinforces control on maintenance strategy execution in plant
- Schedules overhaul of production lines and facilities
- Improves efficiencies by increasing preventive maintenance across the plant and to minimize breakdowns and reduce mean time between failures.
- Ensures continuous and effective assets management
- Evaluates effectiveness of corrective actions using all available data
- Maintains effective systems to ensure SBC/PI products and package quality.
- Ensures implementation of basic cycle maintenance, lubrication, cleaning and inspection (CIL) and instill these principles to be part of the culture of operators and technicians.
- Ensures proper upkeep and prevent loss of the tools and equipment in the engineering department.
- Take lead in change management for the engineering/maintenance department related to people structure or role changes, technology enhancement, regulatory and company initiatives on productivity.
- Ensures that their key customer – production and management are provided with prompt and reliable service.
- Plans and control weekly maintenance spending within the approved budget level. Ensures no overspending without proper approvals.
Requirements
- A minimum of Bachelor of Engineering Degree (B.Eng.) or HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3– 5 years relevant hands-on FMCG operation and maintenance experience
- Experience in people management
- Knowledge of bottling operation
- Coaching direct reports and mentoring others
- Ability to build and leverage relationships to improve results
- Open-minded and willing to experiment and try new things
- Ability to disseminate and enforce safety, health & environment policy.
- Ability to influence situations without direct control of resources
- Good understanding of HQSE modalities and codes
- Good understanding of GMP and GHK (5S) standards
- Good oral communication, influencing and relationship skills.

5, Job Title: Sustainability Specialist
Job Summary
Support the execution of SBC’s sustainability strategy by managing data, projects, and community initiatives that advance environmental and social impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sustainability Mainstreaming: Communication, internalization, and implementation of SBC’s sustainability strategy and policies at plant/region level.
- ESG Reporting & Data Tracking: Prepares monthly and quarterly ESG reports, track initiatives (e.g., water stewardship, circular economy), and ensure data accuracy and audit readiness.
- Community & Stakeholder Engagement Conducts needs assessments, engage host communities, coordinate CSIs and manage communication with sustainability related regulators, NGOs, and industry bodies.
- Sustainability Stewardship/ Implementation Champion sustainability week projects, UN observances strategic to the business, EPR etc.
- Environmental & Social gap audits: Undertakes monthly physical assessment of units on E&S eg supplier local content, labour practices, water & energy usage, waste etc and launches initiatives to close gaps. Also provides technical supports for certifications.
- Compliance & Environmental Management: Maintains Environmental regulatory register, monitor compliance with environmental regulations and frameworks (ISO 14001, NESREA,
- EPAs). Manage environmental metrics including GHG, water efficiency, waste segregation, and circular economy practices.
- Capacity Building Deliver sustainability training and collaborate with internal departments
- (Operations, P&C, OHS, Finance etc) to embed global best practices across regions.
