Eligibility Requirements for UTokyo Amgen Scholars Program 2026
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Must be an undergraduate student enrolled at a university in the Asia region that awards a bachelor’s degree
- Must have completed at least the first year of undergraduate study before the program begins
- Must not graduate before the program starts and must return to undergraduate study after it ends
- Strong academic record
- Demonstrated English proficiency if English is not the first language
- Clear interest in pursuing a Ph.D. or research-focused graduate studies
- Ability to commit fully to the eight-week program without taking courses or holding a job
