About TDR Postgraduate Training Scholarships
The University of Antioquia’s School of Public Health in Medellin, Colombia, is excited to announce an extension to the call for applications for the TDR Postgraduate Training Scholarships. These scholarships will support a two-year Master of Public Health (MPH) postgraduate program, starting in August 2023 for the academic session 2023–2025.
The scholarship, fully funded by TDR, the UNICEF/UNDP/World Bank/WHO Special Program for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases, is designed to focus on implementation science. The training will concentrate on topics and courses relevant to implementation science, which is a rapidly growing field that aims to identify health system bottlenecks and solutions to address them. This approach is particularly useful in LMICs, where many health interventions fail to reach those who could benefit from them.
The primary goal of this scholarship is to improve the capacity of graduate training and increase the number and quality of researchers in LMICs. The TDR Postgraduate Training Scholarship places a particular emphasis on implementation research on infectious diseases of poverty, including neglected tropical diseases, malaria, and tuberculosis.
