Job Title: LOGISTICS ASSISTANT – NIGER MILLS CALABAR, GOLDEN PENNY FOODS
PURPOSE
- Support logistics and dispatch operations by coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of goods in compliance with company policies and procedures.
THE JOB
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Track shipments and update stakeholders on delivery status, including delays where necessary.
- Prepare and maintain logistics documentation such as invoices, shipping records, and inventory reports.
- Liaise with transporters, warehouse teams, and suppliers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock reconciliation and discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Support the logistics team in resolving transportation issues and optimizing delivery routes.
- Verify shipment details and reconcile discrepancies with suppliers and transporters.
- Maintain proper filing systems for logistics records and documentation.
- Assist in preparing reports on logistics performance, costs, and operational efficiency.

THE PERSON MUST

EXPERIENCE

- Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
