To monitor production activities and ensure that in-process and finished products comply with approved specifications, regulatory and food safety standards, company requirements, and customer expectations, while supporting the effective implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).

The Job

  • Monitor production and packaging activities to ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and operational standards.
  • Identify non-conforming products, quarantine affected batches, and escalate quality issues appropriately.
  • Draw, label, and maintain representative reference samples for all production lots.
  • Conduct line inspections to verify cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene compliance before and during production.
  • Monitor personnel hygiene practices within production and packaging areas, report non-compliance, and issue relevant documentation.
  • Document and report quality-related observations, findings, and deviations to the Compliance/Quality Assurance Officer.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Food Safety Management System (FSMS) requirements within the plant.
  • Verify the functionality and accuracy of weighing scales in recipe weighing and production areas, maintain inspection records, and report defects.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety requirements, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Participate in quality monitoring activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promptly report food safety incidents, risks, non-conformities, and opportunities for improvement through established channels.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the Compliance/Quality Assurance Officer or Management.

The Person Must

  • Have a strong eye for detail and a commitment to product quality and food safety.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hygiene, and quality assurance principles.
  • Possess good observation, inspection, and reporting skills.
  • Be able to identify and escalate quality deviations promptly.
  • Have strong record-keeping and documentation abilities.
  • Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Be capable of working effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a strong commitment to safety and compliance standards.

Qualification

  • Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Pure and Applied Sciences, Physical Sciences, Food Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Food Safety, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing operations will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), GMP, and quality inspection processes is desirable.

2. Job Title: WEIGHBRIDGE ASSISTANT – HONEYWELL FLOUR MILLS, APAPA – Lagos

PURPOSE 

To validate the accuracy of inbound and outbound materials using weighbridge to safeguard the company against loss of stock.

THE JOB

  • Operate computerised weighbridge for weighing and recording trucks delivering and removing materials from the company.
  • Control the flow of vehicles ensuring required documentations such as Invoices, Waybills and Weighbridge tickets are available and correctly recorded before trucks exit the factory.
  • Regularly monitor the weighbridge to check for proper functioning and report any malfunctioning and follow up for quick resolutions and repairs.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping in the weighbridge facility and its surrounding areas.
  • Enforce drivers’ compliance with rules and regulations governing the use of the weighbridge; and redirect or refuse entry if necessary.
  • Comply with the companies Health & Safety guidelines relating to weighbridge operations.
  • Prepare and submit daily weighbridge reports for the attention of Weighbridge Manager.
  • Report and resolved any observed weight differentials.
  • Support clients during weighbridge calibration exercise.
  • Ensure proper filling of all weighbridges related documents for easy and quick retrieval of information.

THE PERSON MUST 

  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess strong negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must possess high level of integrity.
  • Must be hard working, committed and be punctual at work.

QUALIFICATION

  • 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.
  • NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) Technical in Electrical or related discipline.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience preferably within the manufacturing or FMCG industry.

3. Job Title: SUPERVISOR – FITTING AND FABRICATION, FMN HOLDINGS, LAGOS

PURPOSE

To carry out cost-effective and efficient sheet metal fabrication activities in the workshop in order to produce metal parts used in installation and work maintenance.

THE JOB

  • Carry out development of sheet metal related fabrications according to specifications within safety rules.
  • Carry out regular cleaning and lubrication of machines and tools used in sheet metal workshop to enhance smooth operation.
  • Study relevant documentation including sample parts, and drawings to determine the method and sequence of operations needed to fabricate products.
  • Make necessary measurements and calculations for accurate fabrication of sheet metal.
  • Estimation and planning of materials needed for individual fabrication jobs and make requisition for same.
  • Ensures cost effective use of materials to reduce wastage.
  • Carry out repair of damaged components in the plants.

THE PERSON MUST

  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to monitor and interpret operating parameters and identify abnormalities.
  • Possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Use of measurement tools such as veneers calipers, micrometer screws, etc.
  • Read, interpret and develop mechanical drawings using compass, set-squares and dividers

QUALIFICATION

  • 5 O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English, Trade Test Grade.
  • OND in Mechanical Engineering or any related discipline.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum two (2) years relevant cognate experience.
