Job Title: ForeHearth Specialist, Agbara – 0096
Job purpose
Monitor and control forehearth temperature zones to ensure uniform glass distribution to forming machines.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper conditioning of molten glass for optimal forming performance and bottle quality. Coordinate production activities to ensure that high-quality bottles are produced in line with the quality plan
- Work with the forming team to support gob formation, weight control, and consistency. Ensure all job change activities are carried out efficiently and in line with production requirements.
- Identify and troubleshoot forehearth-related defects affecting product quality.
- Optimize fuel consumption and improve thermal efficiency of the forehearth system. Ensure proper maintenance and inspection of forehearth equipment, including burners, thermocouples, and refractories.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Identify environmental risks in operations and implement control measures to minimize impact.

- Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Glass Technology or related discipline
- 1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role
