1. Technical Assistant to the Executive Director, Enterprise Risk Managment

Description:

  • This role requires a highly organised and detail-oriented professional to provide comprehensive technical support to the Executive Director, Risk Management. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of risk management principles and regulatory frameworks.
  • They will be proficient in coordinating risk management activities, preparing accurate reports and presentations, and facilitating effective communication across departments.
  • The candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, discretion in handling confidential information, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic banking environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other related work tools is essential.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in a technical assistant, administrative, or support role within the banking or financial services sector, with exposure to risk management.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise risk management principles, methodologies, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., CBN guidelines).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for report generation, data analysis, and presentations.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

2. Chief Risk Officer

Description:

  • This role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in Enterprise Risk Management within the Nigerian banking sector, strong regulatory engagement experience, and the ability to drive a robust risk culture across the organisation. 
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing the Bank’s enterprise-wide risk strategy, ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks, guiding the identification and mitigation of emerging risks, providing timely and insightful reports to the Executive Management, and embedding risk awareness into business decision-making processes. 
  • They will also oversee credit, market, operational, liquidity, and compliance risk functions, while fostering strong relationships with regulators, auditors, and other stakeholders to safeguard the Bank’s stability and reputation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in risk management within the banking sector, with a significant portion in a senior leadership or executive role.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise risk management principles, methodologies, and frameworks (e.g., Basel III, IFRS 9, CBN guidelines).
  • Proven track record of successful engagement with regulatory bodies (e.g., CBN, NDIC) and external auditors.
  • Extensive experience in overseeing and managing various risk types including credit risk, market risk, operational risk, liquidity risk, and compliance risk.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing risk teams.
