2. Job Title: Head of Growth
Job Description
- We are looking for a data driven and results focused Head of Marketing & Growth to lead the Growth team in Nigeria. Reporting to the Africa Marketing & Growth Director and working closely with Nigeria General Manager, you will manage a team of 3
- You will own the execution of all growth, marketing and engagement initiatives; and your goal will be to develop and execute the most profitable initiatives to position and promote Glovo.

You will be responsible for:
Definition and execution of Growth strategies:
- Lead the local marketing strategy, adapting the global playbook to local needs.
- Lead local Marketing execution (offline and online) and manage/optimize Content to deliver on the agreed growth goals.
- Understand local media landscape and define the right mix of digital/non-digital investment to maximize user base growth within the agreed CAC (Cost of Acquisition).
- Identify and execute local partnerships to build brand awareness in Nigeria.
Analytical & Research responsibilities:
- Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how our users interact with our products, identify growth opportunities, and execute on projects to drive growth and user engagement.
- Work closely with Customer Research team to conduct qualitative analysis (surveys, focus groups, etc) to understand user base and gather feedback.
- Track market dynamics and gather industry intelligence.
Budget management and metric monitoring:
- Manage the country marketing budget.
- Track and monitor key Growth metrics providing the appropriate visibility to all stakeholders (General Manager – Nigeria, Regional Marketing Director – Africa, and HQ).
Project & Stakeholder Management Responsibilities:
- Work cross functionally with HQ Growth teams and supervise activities across all marketing channels.
- Lead the execution of cross functional growth initiatives (e.g. product launches, roll out of new features, etc) by working closely with Local teams (Commercial, Content, Partner Operations, Operations, etc) and HQ teams (Product, Pricing, CRM, Performance Marketing, Brand & Comms).
- Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of the activities carried out.
- Compile and present reports on marketing initiatives/campaign performance through collaboration with the analytics department and other HQ/local teams.
- Communicate details, updates and implementations across all stakeholders and teams with extreme attention to detail.
- Establish meaningful business relationships on behalf of the business (Top partners, Media agency, Media outlets, Social Media agency, etc).
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Growth & Strategic leadership, ideally combining experience in Tier 1 Strategy consulting firm , high-growth tech, and large-scale operational experience
- Proven track record leading large teams across diverse functions in dynamic, high-growth environments.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and define actionable plans.
- Hands-on leadership style: You’re not afraid to dive into the details when necessary, while inspiring and empowering others.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and dealing with high growth and complex business challenges.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels – internally and externally. Able to craft compelling narratives, simplify complex ideas, and adapt messages to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to foster cross-functional collaboration, aligning commercial, operations, and finance around shared business goals.

Job Description
As the Head of Finance for Nigeria, you will step into the role of the institutional financial leader for our highest-volume business unit in the region, operating as a true 360-degree Market CFO. Your mission extends far beyond traditional financial oversight, requiring you to actively balance the responsibility of being the business’s structural “Shield” by safeguarding compliance, tax frameworks, and mitigating legal risks, while simultaneously acting as its strategic “Motor” to accelerate business partnering and EBITDA growth. In this high-impact position, you will be hyper-focused on the finance function, taking complex local operational realities and translating them seamlessly into clear financial strategies while establishing deeply trusted, influential relationships with our global HQ finance leadership.
What you’ll get to do:
- Lead FP&A: Spearhead future planning cycles, build business scenarios, and map clear paths to market profitability.
- Drive Commercial Growth: Propose and execute data-backed initiatives to optimize both top- and bottom-line performance.

Qualifications
- Technical Finance Mastery: 5 to 10 years of solid experience growing up within technical finance disciplines (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and FP&A Planning).
- The “Ex-Big 4” Combined Pedigree: A proven background spanning Tier 1 Audit / Big 4 experience, combined with at least 5 years of in-house corporate finance management experience.
- EBITDA Stewardship: Demonstrated experience monitoring P&L targets and managing financial constraints with an “early-warning” mindset.
- Cross-Functional Fluency: Strong understanding of how commercial levers, logistics, operations, and marketing drive the local P&L.
- Strategic Influence & Courage: High-impact communication capacity to respectfully challenge local and HQ C-suite leaders using data-driven insights.
- Target Industry Background: Experience working within high-growth tech scale-ups or FMCG/Retail multinationals is highly preferred.
