Job Title: Project Manager-Mechanical Engineering & PLP
ABOUT THE ROLE
Project Manager-Mechanical Engineering & PLP holds the knowledge on initiating, planning, execution, monitoring & closure of all Mechanical & PLP engineering projects. He/she is primarily responsible for preparation of scope of works, cost & resources management, development of design and details for execution and daily follow up on timelines, compliance to engineering & PLP standards, quality of work and occupational health and safety on work sites.
IS THIS YOU?
- Have a BSc/HND in Mechanical Engineering or any other related field.
- Have at least 7 years’ experience as a Project Manager- Mechanical Engineering & PLP or similar role.
- Proven technical experience is mandatory
- Professional certifications is an added advantage.
- SAP knowledge an added advantage
- Effective use of AutoCAD, Structural design (manual & Soft tools), MS Project, MS Office Suite.
- Have knowledge on complex Mechanical & PLP projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for evaluating Mechanical Engineering (Media piping & Heat Ventilation & Air Conditioning) and Property Loss Prevention project scope for respective capital expenditures.
- Assess and allocate resources effectively for the operation and enhancement of ventilation and firefighting system for facility upgrades.
- Disseminate best practices to on-site mechanical engineering project site engineers in the supervision of varying contractors and projects towards achieving project’s cost, timeline and quality objectives.
- Engage with consultants and industry experts on diverse media supplies for production and utility equipment, facilitating the implementation of detailed piping and instrumentation designs.
- Drive implementation of Mechanical Engineering & PLP project QC/QA on sites.
- Lead the execution of perform injection projects, including collaboration with OEM, Plant and Group Engineering teams on project development.
- Initiate request for approval for property loss prevention capital investments according to annual business plan.
- ·Perform valuations on on-going Mechanical engineering & PLP projects for payments to vendors on time and accurately
- Timely capitalization of constructed and installed new assets.
- Build knowledge on complex Mechanical & PLP projects.
- Build system knowledge in CCHBC manufacturing operations.
- Develop end user capabilities in Fire protection infrastructures by initiating OEM and expert level training.
