1. Job Title: Process Engineer – Kiln

Job Description

  • Responsible for managing kiln operations, ensuring efficient firing processes, energy optimization, and consistent product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and control kiln firing operations.
  • Monitor temperature, pressure, and other process parameters.
  • Troubleshoot kiln issues to reduce downtime and defects.
  • Implement safety, maintenance, and efficiency best practices.
  • Support continuous process improvements for energy savings and productivity.

2. Job Title: Process Engineer – Press

Job Description:

  • The Process Engineer (Press) will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing press machine operations in ceramic tile manufacturing. The role focuses on ensuring machine reliability, process efficiency, product quality, and operator safety, while driving continuous improvement and minimizing downtime.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Track press equipment metrics (pressure, speed, cycle times) using sensors and control systems to ensure reliable operation.
  • Collect and analyze press performance data to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for process optimization.
  • Educate operators on press operations, mold setup, safety protocols, and SOP compliance.
  • Identify and implement energy-saving opportunities in press cycles and material handling.
  • Analyze defects (e.g., cracks, dimensional errors, density variations) and recommend corrective actions to eliminate root causes.
  • Collaborate with glaze, kiln, and quality control departments to ensure smooth production flow and defect reduction.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as press uptime, defect rates, cycle times, and scrap rates.
  • Maintain detailed records of press process parameters, trials, and improvements; prepare daily/weekly reports for production managers.
  • Apply problem-solving and project management skills to resolve operational challenges quickly.
  • Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with company safety standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 years in ceramic or powder metallurgy manufacturing (press operations preferred).
  • Industry Specification: Ceramic Manufacturing strongly preferred; Powder Metallurgy and other manufacturing industries acceptable.

3. Job Title: Process Engineer – Sliphouse

Job Description:

  • The Process Engineer (Sliphouse) will be responsible for supervising and optimizing slip preparation and spray drying processes in the ceramic tile manufacturing plant.
  • The role ensures that production is aligned with quality standards, safety regulations, and efficiency targets, while supporting continuous improvement across sliphouse operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collect and evaluate sliphouse performance data to identify trends and optimize process parameters.
  • Analyze sliphouse workflows (raw material mixing, milling, screening, slip storage) to identify inefficiencies.
  • Maintain detailed records of slip formulations, mixing protocols, and quality checks using Excel and other tools.
  • Plan slip production in line with casting and spraying demands, balancing supply and storage capacity.
  • Apply problem-solving and project management skills to ensure safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and performance monitoring in high-pressure production settings.
  • Track and report KPIs (slip consistency, yield, equipment uptime) and drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks (e.g., chemical spills, equipment malfunctions) to safeguard workers and equipment.
  • Collaborate with HODs, managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Maintain physical ability to work in factory settings (standing for long periods, equipment inspection, and occasional lifting).

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualification (Preferred): Degree/HND in Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 years in ceramic manufacturing (Sliphouse experience preferred).
  • Industry Specification: Ceramic Manufacturing preferred; experience in Powder Metallurgy, Cement/Concrete, or Chemical Processing industries acceptable.

4. Job Title: Process Engineer – Glaze Line

Job Description:

  • Responsible for overseeing and optimizing the glaze line operations to ensure smooth production, quality assurance, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the glaze line.
  • Monitor and control process parameters to maintain product quality.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements.
  • Ensure safety, maintenance, and compliance with operational standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the glaze line team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related).
  • Minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience in Ceramics, manufacturing, or Process engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of glaze application processes and production machinery.
