4. Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Summary:

  • The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products meet established quality, safety, and regulatory standards throughout the production process. This role involves monitoring in-process parameters, conducting inspections, identifying non-conformities, and enforcing GMP, HACCP, and ISO requirements. The role plays a critical role in maintaining product integrity, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards across the plant.

Vacancy Description

Cleaning and Environmental Control

  • Enforce “clean as you work” practices and ensure proper line clearance at startup and changeover for every shift.
  • Monitor and regulate plant temperature and humidity in the absence of a hygienist.
  • Ensure strict compliance with PPE requirements across the production floor.

Online Process Control Monitoring

  • Monitor and validate process parameters for dumpers, mixers, blenders, fillers, and composition control at every shift startup.
  • Ensure proper functionality of equipment including check-weighers, oxygen analyzers, gas systems, nitrogen sensors, weighing balances, vacuum pumps, and compressed air indicators.
  • Track key quality parameters such as filled weight, oxygen and nitrogen levels, temperature, humidity, and product appearance in line with specifications.
  • Monitor packaging integrity including sealing, seaming, leak detection, coding accuracy, and foil alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with “no code, no run” principle.
  • Identify, isolate, and report non-conforming materials and products.
  • Report hazards, near misses, and safety concerns promptly.

Product Quality & Non-Conforming Products

  • Monitor processing parameters and investigate deviations to ensure product quality.
  • Raise Non-Conformance Products (NCPs) in accordance with company standards for all deviations.
  • Ensure retention samples are collected and delivered to the sensory laboratory.

Housekeeping & Food Safety

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and sanitation in line with GMP and ISO procedures.
  • Enforce compliance with HACCP requirements for QCP and OPRP controls.
  • Promote a safe working environment and prevent product contamination.

Reporting

  • Prepare accurate and timely reports in line with company procedures.
  • Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and sign-offs for all quality checks and activities.

Audit

  • Participate actively in FOQUS and ISO audits.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining proper documentation and compliance with standards.
