Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Recruitment 2024

The Nigerian Air Force has opened online registration for the Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 47/2026. This is the enlistment route for Airmen and Airwomen, covering both tradesmen/women and non-tradesmen/women. Registration started on 3 September 2026 and closes on 14 October 2026.

The application is free. No agent, website, or “helper” is authorised to collect money on behalf of the Nigerian Air Force. If someone asks you to pay to “secure a slot,” that person is not part of the process.

This guide follows the official instructions published on the NAF Enlistment and Recruitment Portal. Read it before you start the form. One wrong category, one expired licence, or one unsigned attestation form can end an otherwise strong application.

About Nigerian Air Force (NAF)

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) serves as the aerial warfare branch within the Nigerian Armed Forces. Established as the youngest division among the Nigerian Armed Forces, it operates and maintains aircraft, providing air support to ground forces and conducting various military operations, including air defense, reconnaissance, and airlift missions. The NAF plays a crucial role in safeguarding Nigeria’s airspace and ensuring national security through its aviation capabilities and strategic operations.

How to Apply on the Official NAF Recruitment Portal

Do this once. Multiple applications can get you disqualified.

  1. Open the official portal: https://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng/
  2. Read the full instructions: https://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng/instructions/
  3. Confirm that you meet the age, height, education, and trade requirements for the exact position you want
  4. Start a new application or continue an existing Airmen application from the portal
  5. Create an account with an email and phone number you check daily
  6. Fill the form carefully. Names, dates of birth, and certificate details must match your documents
  7. Upload the required documents and a recent passport photograph
  8. Submit the application
  9. Print the documents generated after submission:
    • Acknowledgment Form
    • Parent/Guardians Consent Form
    • Local Government Area Attestation Form

If the application is not completed successfully, you will not be able to generate the forms needed for the next stage.

Returning applicants can use the existing login path from the portal: Continue Existing Airmen Application.

What Happens After You Submit

The process does not end at “Submit.”

  1. Print and keep the Acknowledgment Form, Parent/Guardians Consent Form, and Local Government Area Attestation Form

  3. Watch the official portal and your email/phone for the Zonal General Aptitude Test date
  4. Only candidates who pass that test will be invited for Selection Interview

Do not rely on unofficial “shortlist” websites. Use the official updates page: https://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng/updates/.

Errors That Get Applicants Disqualified

The official guidelines are blunt on fraud and false documents.

  • Impersonation or submission of false documents leads to disqualification
  • Applicants who persist with fraudulent papers and are detected at interview will be arrested and handed over to the Nigeria Police
  • False declarations discovered later can lead to withdrawal from training and prosecution
  • HND or degree holders applying as Airmen/Airwomen will not be considered
  • Incomplete applications cannot generate the required forms
  • Using an email or phone number you do not check means you can miss the aptitude test or interview invitation

The safest approach is simple: apply once, use your real documents, pick the trade that matches your certificate, and wait for official communication.

Official Support and Contact Details

Use only the contacts published on the recruitment portal.

  • Phone: 07052683575 and 07030562381
