Local Government Area Attestation
Your Local Government Area Attestation Form must be signed by only one of the following:
- A military officer from the same state as the applicant, not below the rank of Wing Commander in the Nigerian Air Force, or the equivalent rank in the Nigerian Army or Nigerian Navy
- A police officer of the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police and above
- A substantive Local Government Chairman or Secretary
- A magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin

If you have only SSCE-level qualifications and no ND, NCE, or trade certificate that matches a listed trade, this is the category to choose.
Academic and Professional Requirements for Tradesmen and Women

General rules for trades applicants:
- ND/NCE applicants must possess at least Lower Credit from an accredited institution, plus a minimum of 5 credits including Mathematics and English in not more than 2 sittings in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/NBAIS
- Drivers and other trades that require a Trade Test must have the same 5 credits including Mathematics and English, plus the Trade Test Certificate. Drivers also need a valid driving licence
- Sportsmen/women must present evidence of professional experience, including certificates and medals
