Job Description:
- The Press Officer will be responsible for managing the Consulate’s communication activities, supporting media engagement, producing content for communication platforms, and monitoring socio-political developments in southern Nigeria. The role also includes supporting institutional events and strengthening the Consulate’s visibility across traditional and digital media platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Communication Management
- Support the overall communication strategy of the Consulate-General
- Monitor and engage with local media outlets, journalists, and influencers
- Organize and follow up on meetings with journalists and international correspondents
- Produce and update content for official communication platforms, including websites and social media channels
- Ensure timely publication and updating of communication materials under the supervision of the Consul General
