4. Job Title: Regional Manager, Retail SME

Job Overview: 

Responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to Business Managers within the assigned region to achieve financial and non-financial targets, drive portfolio growth and profitability, ensure excellent customer experience, deepen market penetration, strengthen risk asset quality, and promote adoption of the Bank’s products and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive regional profitability, growth, and achievement of strategic targets
  • Lead Business Managers to deliver financial and non-financial performance objectives
  • Identify business opportunities and conduct market intelligence to support growth
  • Drive deposit mobilization, revenue generation, risk asset growth, and portfolio quality
  • Oversee credit processing, approvals, disbursements, and portfolio performance
  • Monitor loan recoveries, delinquency trends, and regulatory compliance
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and digital channel adoption
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers and stakeholders

Job Overview

  • This role leads the retail data and analytics agenda, partnering with executives to align business and analytics strategies. It oversees data governance, policies, standards and data quality, ensuring resolution of data issues. Delivers insights, performance monitoring, predictive models and machine learning solutions customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unlock business values using internal and external data for the overall achievement of short term, medium- and long-term goals.
  • Enable and support “revenue growth” strategies, “cost reduction” strategies, “process improvement strategies”, and “risk reduction” strategies.
  • Lead data and analytics agenda and serve as a trusted partner to key business decisions.

Job Overview: 

The Head of Strategic and Reputational Risk Management is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the bank’s strategic and reputational risk management framework. The role requires a proactive leader who can navigate complex risk environments, protect the bank’s reputation and align risk strategies with the bank’s overall strategic objectives.

Functions & Responsibilities

Strategic Risk Management

  • Facilitate the continuous assessment of the bank’s strategic risks, ensuring alignment with the bank’s longterm

objectives.

  • Collaborate with senior management to embed strategic risk considerations into key decision-making

processes.

  • Monitor and report on emerging strategic risks that could impact the bank’s growth, financial performance,

and competitive positioning.

Reputational Risk Management

  • Identify, assess, and monitor reputational risks stemming from operational failures, regulatory breaches,

negative publicity, and stakeholder dissatisfaction.

  • Provide advisory support to business units to ensure activities, communications, and decisions align with the

bank’s reputation management standards.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
  • A master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.
  • A recognized professional certification in risk management will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience in risk management or related area within the Banking Sector.
