- Guide partnerships from initial meetings through contractual negotiations to successful establishment.
- Monitor progress on projects and negotiations, prepare for contract renewals, and advise companies on maximizing economic impact reporting.
Knowledge Acquisition and Internal Relationships
- Stay current with faculty research by meeting professors at both institutions, attending seminars, reading papers when needed, and tracking accolades and student work.
- Maintain strong connections with supporting departments and centers such as Clarkson’s Institute for a Sustainable Environment, Shipley Center for Innovation, Center for Air and Aquatic Resources Engineering and Sciences (CAARES), and Career Center, as well as ESF’s Cranberry Lake Biological Field Station and Newcomb NY Campus.
- Strengthen ties with external non-corporate partners, including ESD/NYSTAR representatives, other Centers for Advanced Technology (CATs) and CoEs, Manufacturing Extension Partnerships (MEPs), FuzeHub, and CITEC.
Reporting and Representation
- Support NYSTAR reporting by alerting companies to requirements and cycles, soliciting reports on time, assisting with annual report compilation, and helping companies draft support letters.
- Follow industry innovation and technological advances relevant to the CoE.
- Represent the CoE at external and internal meetings.
- Promote industry participation in the CoE Annual Meeting and Joint CAT Meeting.
Hours are 35–40 per week. The starting date is after August 6, 2026. Frequent travel within New York State and to marketing meetings elsewhere is required.
