Job Title: Store Keeper
Job Purpose:
- Why does the job exist?
Receive and accurately record issues, control of stock of raw and packing materials. To give support to the factory.

- To receive, store and account for all materials received.
- To check cargo Waybills carefully, ensure only approved quality and quantity of materials are received and to off-load materials promptly, enter shortages on the Waybill and obtain Driver’s signature.
- To raise G.R.A’s, R.S.A’s, T.D.N’s and other documents necessary for accurate record keeping. To maintain stock Control record Cards of receipts and issues and compare same every month and with the office records.
- To ensure prompt deliveries to production as covered by Stores Requisition. To accept I.O.U only in the case of emergency this must be authorized by the stock Controller and in his absence by the Sectional Manager.
- To arrange the Stores in an orderly manner for easy checking, report shortages and low stock holdings immediately, to maintain general cleanliness in the Stores and the surroundings
- The Provision of on-the-job training for all Subordinate Staff.
- The provision and maintenance of safe working conditions.
- The control and discipline of Subordinate Staff.
- To inform subordinates of their job responsibilities and systematically appraise the levels of their performance on their jobs.
- To communicate effectively with other supervisors on matters of organizational interest.
- Advising immediate boss on up-to-date developments in one’s areas of responsibilities.
Principal Accountabilities:
- The key outputs of the job
- List in priority order, if possible, typically 8-10
- NOT a task list
- Any requirement for organizing & planning including own work and the allocation of resources
- Typical decisions made and if they are advisory or directly responsible for the outcome
- Ensure that materials are correctly received and accounted for.
- Compare receipts with Waybills and ensure prompt off-loading.
- Raise promptly, necessary G.R.A, T.D.N, and other documents and cards.
- No delays in supplying necessary materials to the production only on requisitions duly authorized.
Materials should be properly stocked, and the store and its environs kept tidy at all times
Internal & External Relationships:
- Identify the most significant ones
- Attach a preferred suppliers list if available
- Detail which networks the jobholder will be part of e.g., finance, category
- Admin Staff
- Vendors
- Production Workers
- Etc.
KEY ATTRIBUTES
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY (OH&S)
Key Activities:
- To be aware of the hazards in the workplace within his control, and the control measures to reduce the risk associated with those hazards.
- Achieve 85% of action closure arising from monthly HSE inspection.
- Achieve 95% compliance with behaviour-based safety (BBS) walk around.
- Train 65% of the workforce on safety awareness.
ENVIROMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS) OBJECTIVES
ENVIROMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS) OBJECTIVES
Key Activities:
- Understand roles and responsibilities and the importance of conformity with the EMS requirements.
- Implements and complies with EMS requirements relating to environmental aspects and impacts and other policies, procedures and /or regulations applicable to assigned jobs.
QUALITY AND PLAN COMPLIANCE DELIVERY: GMP
Key Activities:
Ensure that manufacturing operation meets stipulated GMP
Key Accountability:
To have a good knowledge of GMP requirements and application on site in line with GMP standard (PZC GMP standard/NAFDAC requirements)
QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (QMS) OBJECTIVES: (QMS)
Key Accountability:
To ensure the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) and improve on the system.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
- To work with other staff continually to improve performance while adhering to legislative and company standards.
- To work closely as a team with the line manager and other leaders as to deliver set objectives
