Eligibility Requirements for University of Glasgow African Excellence Award 2026
To qualify for the University of Glasgow African Excellence Award, applicants must meet all of the following conditions:
- Be domiciled in Africa and hold a passport from an eligible African country
- Have international fee status
- Demonstrate academic excellence equivalent to a UK First Class Honours degree
- Apply for a one-year postgraduate taught Master’s programme starting in September 2026
- Hold or be in the process of securing an offer for an eligible programme
- Show a clear career or development plan that will benefit from Master’s level study
- Meet UK visa living cost requirements as an international student
Postgraduate diplomas and certificate programmes are not eligible.
