Eligibility Requirements for Swedish Institute (SI) Scholarship for Global Professionals 2026
- To qualify, you must be a citizen of one of the 34 eligible countries.
- You must apply for eligible English-taught master’s programmes and meet Swedish university admission requirements, including being liable for tuition fees and paying your application fee on time.
- You must also show relevant work experience. In many eligible countries, applicants must have at least 3,000 hours of work experience. Leadership experience is another requirement, which can come from your job or involvement in community or civil society groups.
- You are not eligible if you already studied in Sweden, previously received an SI scholarship, or have certain citizenship or residency statuses. Some exceptions apply to Ukrainian and Moldovan applicants based on specific conditions.

University admission results come out on 26 March 2026. After that, SI finalizes the scholarship selection and announces recipients on 23 April 2026.
