Job Title: Power Plant Intern
Job Description
- The Power Plant Intern will assist to operate and maintain equipment used to generate electrical power.
- Assist the plant operators in operating power plant equipment and machinery to produce enough electrical power to meet demand; regulates flow of power between generating stations and substations.
- Assist in monitoring plants, meter and gauges and control board to verify operational parameters and electricity flow to meet standard protocols.
- Assist in maintaining draft document relating to equipment, data, and general operating instructions and schedules.
- Monitors machinery indicators to identify any existing malfunctions and initiate repair procedure when necessary.
- Adhere to safety protocol and policy to ensure proper use of equipment.
- Clean, lubricates, maintain parts and equipment to prevent failure and degradation.
- Maintain, supervise and regulate transmission load, frequencies and line voltages.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
