About the Role:

We are currently recruiting a Fresh Food Department Manager to oversee all fresh food operations at our branch store. The Fresh Food Manager will assist the Branch Manager in coordinating daily activities to ensure the highest standards of quality, freshness, and presentation. He/She will be responsible for revenue and profit optimization, product development, food safety compliance, and team development while delivering exceptional experience to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the effective running of all fresh food operations, including butchery, bakery, deli, and produce sections.

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Receiving Manager to oversee our warehouse operations in various locations. The Receiving Manager will be responsible for the efficient receiving, storage, and distribution of goods. The Receiving Manager will ensure accurate inventory management, optimal space utilization, and strict adherence to safety protocols – all in line with warehouse operating procedures to attain organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and manage the receiving bay, people, equipment and delivery windows to reduce congestion, detention and unsafe handling.
  • Accept deliveries only against a valid approved PO or authorized exception; independently verify supplier, SKU, quantity, unit, condition, batch, expiry and agreed acceptance standards.
  • Ensure count and quality checks are performed before acknowledgement. Record shortages, overages, substitutions, damages and rejections on the delivery documents and in the system.
  • Complete or cause the Goods Received Note to be completed accurately within the agreed SLA, attaching PO, invoice/delivery note and discrepancy evidence.
  • Apply food-safety, cold-chain and hygiene controls; quarantine non-conforming goods and notify Food Safety/Compliance and relevant managers immediately.
  • Coordinate prompt put-away or handover to departments, maintaining custody and a clear audit trail from gate to storage/sales floor.
  • Process supplier returns and rejected deliveries promptly; track debit-note/credit-note documentation with the Branch Accountant and Sourcing/Category teams.
  • Prevent unauthorized access, collusion, duplicate receiving and retrospective document alteration; rotate duties where feasible and escalate suspected misconduct.
  • Reconcile unposted receipts and open delivery discrepancies daily with the Inventory Controller and Branch Accountant.
  • Maintain receiving-bay housekeeping, equipment readiness, HSE compliance and complete records for audit.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of B.Sc./ HND in supply chain management or related
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in similar role
  • Must have NYSC Discharged/Exemption or Exclusion letter
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar supervisory role within a warehouse environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP) and warehouse procedures.
