4. Job Title: Internal Auditor
What You Will Do
- Audit trading transactions relating to petroleum products to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Review and validate trade documentation including contracts, invoices, bills of lading, delivery notes, waybills, and reconciliation statements.
- Verify inbound product receipts and ensure inventory records accurately reflect physical product volumes.
- Audit outbound product loading and dispatch activities to ensure authorized and accurate product movement.
- Reconcile trading volumes, depot inventory balances, stock movements, and financial postings while investigating variances.
- Conduct periodic stock verification exercises, tank measurements, and inventory audits across operational locations.
- Evaluate controls around inventory transfers, product accounting, and ERP transactions.
- Review pricing applications, margin calculations, and approval controls to ensure compliance with approved frameworks.
- Audit logistics, storage, demurrage, and related operational charges for accuracy and authorization.
- Track audit findings, monitor corrective action implementation, and provide timely reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, delegated authorities, and ethical standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening operational and financial controls.
