About NNPC/NAE Post Graduate Scholarship

The NNPC/NAE Post Graduate Scholarship is an initiative designed to support the academic pursuit of Nigerian graduates who wish to pursue postgraduate studies in reputable universities, both locally and abroad. The Scholarship Award Scheme is organized by Nigerian Agip Exploration (NAE) Limited on behalf of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)/NAE Production Sharing Contract (PSC) partners.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the NAE Post Graduate Scholarship Award scheme for the 2023/2024 academic year are as follows:

• Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Nigerian university with at least a Second Class Upper division.
• Candidates must have been admitted into a Nigerian or Overseas university (depending on the category applied for) to pursue a one-year Master’s Degree program in any of the disciplines specified below.
• Applicants must not be older than 28 years of age as of December 31st, 2023.
• Candidates must have successfully completed the one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
• Applicants must possess an international passport that will be valid for at least one year from September 2023 (for those applying for the overseas category).

Eligible Course of Study

The scholarship is open to candidates in various fields of study, and the disciplines specified below are eligible for the scholarship:

• Geosciences
• Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Civil, Chemical, Marine, and other relevant engineering disciplines)
• Petroleum Economics
• Law (Oil and Gas/Petroleum)

Required Documents

Applicants are required to upload the following documents in order to be considered for the 2023/2024 NAE Post Graduate Scholarship Award scheme:

1. A passport photograph with dimensions of 450 × 450 pixels and a white background, taken not more than 6 months ago.
2. Provisional admission letter into a reputable university, either local or overseas, for a one-year Master’s Degree program in the discipline stated on the candidate’s application.
3. A first-degree certificate from a recognized Nigerian university.
4. A National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate.
5. A valid form of identification, such as a driver’s license, voter’s card, or national identity card.
6. For the Overseas category, a valid International Passport Data Page that is valid for travel for at least one year from September 2023.
7. A birth certificate obtained from the local government.
8. The NAE Compliance Declaration Form.

Method of Application

The application process is divided into three sections:

SECTION A

1. Candidates should have the documents above clearly scanned before starting the application process:
2. All candidates must download and complete the NAE Compliance Declaration Form, which can be obtained by clicking on https://dragnetscreening.ng/files/NAE_compliance2024.pdf.
3. The scanned documents should be appropriately labeled to avoid confusion during upload.
4. Candidates must ensure that the correct documents are attached in the appropriate upload section.

SECTION B

To apply for the 2023/2024 NAE Postgraduate Scholarship Award, follow these steps:

1. Click on the “Apply Now” tab on the scholarship website.
2. Click on “Register Now” to create an account.
3. Proceed to your email inbox to activate your account.
4. Click on the link: www.scholastica.ng to return to the scholarship site.
5. Enter your registered email and password to create your profile.
6. Fill out the Personal Details, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate sections only. Upload only applicable documents (refer to Section A). Note: Overseas category applicants are encouraged to also apply for the local postgraduate scholarship award.
7. You are not required to fill out the secondary level, bank details, or download the undergraduate profile verification form in the application portal.
8. Ensure that the name used in the application matches the names on all documentation in the same order. Upload a sworn affidavit or certificate if otherwise.
9. View all documents after uploading to eliminate errors.
10. Recheck the application information to avoid errors.
11. Click “Apply Now” to submit information at https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/naescholarships2023, or return to the home page: www.scholastica.ng and select the 2023/2024 NAE Postgraduate Scholarship Awards to be redirected to the application page.
12. Upon submission, you will receive an email confirming that your application was successful.

Note that:

• You have the option to apply for both the local and international categories.
• Submitting multiple applications for the same category will result in disqualification.
• Before submitting your application, please review your profile carefully.

SECTION C
