About the Program
The Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPNU) Apprentice Training Program (ATP) is a training program designed to prepare young Nigerians for careers in the Oil and gas industry. It has been running since 1995 and is organized by MPNU, an affiliate of ExxonMobil Corporation. The program lasts for approximately 23 months and takes place at the MPNU Technical Training Center in Eket, Akwa Ibom State. Participants receive a comprehensive education through a combination of classroom and practical training, including on-the-job attachments. Upon completion, participants receive an MPNU “Certificate of Completion” in their specific field of study.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to apply, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must be Nigerians
- Must possess a government issued Identity card (Voters Card, National ID, Valid Driver’s License, International Passport)
- Must have a National Diploma (ND) in any of the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering Technology, Electrical / Electronic Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Petroleum Engineering Technology.
- Must have graduated with a minimum of Lower Credit and no earlier than 2019 Please note that applicants with higher qualification, will not be considered

Selection Procedure
- Applicants who satisfy the minimum entry qualifications for the Program will be contacted via email and SMS with instructions for the next steps. Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements will NOT be notified.
- All shortlisted applicants will be required to attend specified locations on a specified date to undergo general aptitude and specific discipline testing.
- Further short-listing will occur after testing and continuing candidates will then be invited for a personal interview at a specified location on a specified date.
- Successful candidates following the interviews will then be directed for medical and security screenings prior to commencement of the Program. Medical and Security clearances are mandatory for continuation in the Program.
