    About PTDF Scholarships

    The responsibility of developing indigenous human capacity and technology to cater to the oil and gas industry in Nigeria falls under the purview of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), an agency of the Nigerian Federal Government. In line with its mandate, PTDF offers scholarships to Nigerian students who intend to undertake postgraduate studies in the oil and gas sector.

    Applications for the PTDF Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme for Nigerian Students are currently being accepted for the 2023 academic session. The scholarship provides financial support to Nigerian students pursuing Masters or PhD degrees at any of the 16 PTDF partner universities situated across the globe.

    The scholarship is open to Nigerian students who have completed their undergraduate studies and are looking to pursue a postgraduate degree in any of the following fields: Geosciences, Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials/Corrosion Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Marine Engineering, and Environmental Technology.

    Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
