Scholarship Benefits
The UNS Scholarships provide substantial financial support to international students. The scholarships are categorized into two types: full and partial scholarships.
Full Scholarship
- Tuition Fee Waiver: Covers the entire tuition fee.
- Monthly Living Allowance:
- IDR 1,000,000 for bachelor’s programs
- IDR 1,250,000 for master’s programs
- IDR 1,750,000 for doctoral programs
- Free Indonesian Language Course: Essential for non-native speakers.
- Student Dormitory: Shared accommodation.
- Breakfast Meal: Provided at the student dormitory.
Partial Scholarship
- Tuition Fee Waiver: Covers the entire tuition fee.
- Free Indonesian Language Course: Essential for non-native speakers.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the UNS Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be non-Indonesian citizens (Indonesian citizens are not eligible).
- Demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a degree at UNS.
- Be willing and able to attend an interview via video call.
- Not hold refugee status.
- Have no criminal record.
- Provide evidence of financial support.
- Complete all required documentation.
Language Requirements
- Proficiency in English, demonstrated by a TOEFL certificate (minimum score of 450 for natural science programs and 500 for social science programs) or equivalent scores from other recognized English proficiency tests.
- Admitted students must complete the Indonesian language course provided by UNS, as most lectures are conducted in Indonesian.

- Color scan of a valid passport with at least 18 months of validity (cover and identity pages)
- Certificate of graduation from the latest educational institution (in English or Indonesian)
- Academic transcripts from the latest educational institution (in English or Indonesian)
- Recent health certificate (in English or Indonesian)
- Curriculum Vitae (template provided)
- Financial statement (template provided)
- Personal statement (template provided)
- Certificate of Indonesian language proficiency (preferred)
- Certificate of English language proficiency
- Two letters of recommendation from lecturers/professors or work supervisors (for master’s and doctoral programs)
- Preliminary research proposal (for doctoral programs)
- Motivation letter
- Recommendation letter from the nearest Indonesian Embassy

Method of Application
Follow these steps to apply for the UNS Scholarships:
- Download the Letter of Offer: Visit UNS Offering Letter to download the letter.
- Choose Your Program: Explore available programs and curricula at UNS Courses to find the one that matches your interests.
- Prepare Required Documents: Gather all necessary documents as listed above.
- Visit Indonesian Embassy/Consulate: Request a recommendation letter by presenting the Letter of Offer, passport, graduation certificate, and academic transcript.
- Create an Admission Account: Register using your email.
- Fill Out Personal Information: Complete your personal details.
- Upload Documents: Submit all required documents in the “Upload Document” section.
- Save and Print Registration Card: After submitting documents, save and print your registration card.
- Administrative Selection: The admission committee will review your documents.
- Computer-Based Tests: If you pass the administrative selection, you’ll proceed to this stage.
- Interview Selection: The next stage involves an interview.
- Notification of Acceptance: Successful candidates will receive a Letter of Acceptance.
- Confirmation: Send your confirmation to study at UNS.
- Study Permit and Visa: UNS will apply for your study permit and student visa.
