The NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Award provides a yearly financial grant to successful applicants from their second year of study through to graduation. This support is designed to promote academic excellence and help develop the skills of young Nigerians.
Eligibility Requirements for NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Award 2025
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a Nigerian citizen.
- Be currently enrolled in their second year of full-time study at a public university in Nigeria accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
- Have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a 5-point grading system or its equivalent.
- Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship from the oil and gas sector or any other national/international body.
- Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Documents Required
Before you start your application, make sure that you have scanned the following documents:
- A recent passport-sized photo (JPEG, max 200KB).
- University or JAMB Admission Letter.
- UTME Result.
- O’ Level Result(s) and, if applicable, A-Level/OND/NCE Result(s).
- State of Origin Letter, indicating local government.
- 100-level academic result showing CGPA.
- Government Official Declaration Form (to be filled, signed, and uploaded).
- Signed Profile Document (downloaded from the portal and signed by the Head of Department).
- National Identification Number (NIN) – not mandatory at first, but must be updated later in the application.

Steps on How to Apply for NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Award 2025
To apply for the scholarship, follow you will need to follow these steps carefully:
- Create an Account
- You should visit the official scholarship application portal.
- Click on “Apply Now” and then select “Register Now” to create your account.
- Check your email to activate your newly created account.
- Log In to Begin Application
- Return to the scholarship site and log in using your registered email and password.
- Enter Your Details
- Fill in your personal information, educational background, National Identification Number (NIN) if available, and other required information.
- Upload Required Documents
- Upload the following documents:
- Recent passport photograph (JPEG, under 200KB, white background)
- JAMB or university admission letter
- UTME result
- O’ Level result(s); A-Level/OND/NCE results if applicable
- 100-level academic transcript or result showing CGPA
- State of Origin Identification Letter
- Signed Government Official Declaration Form
- Signed applicant profile document (signed by your Head of Department)
- Upload the following documents:
- Review Application
- Verify that all documents are uploaded correctly.
- Ensure names on documents match your application. If not, upload an affidavit or name-change certificate.
- View uploaded documents to confirm legibility and correctness.
- Submit Application
- Go back to “Active Scholarships”, choose the NNPC/SNEPCo scheme, and click “Apply Now”.
- After submission, a confirmation will appear on-screen and via email.
- Check “My Application” under your profile to confirm it’s been submitted successfully.
- Head of Department Endorsement
- Download your completed profile.
- Have your Head of Department sign and stamp it.
- Scan and upload the signed document.
- Add or Update NIN (if needed)
- If you didn’t enter your NIN earlier, register at any NIMC office.
- After registration, return to the portal and update your application with your NIN.
