Scholarship Benefits
The NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship offers a yearly grant to successful applicants. This grant covers the entire duration of their undergraduate degree, starting from their second year of study. The scholarship not only alleviates the financial burden but also encourages students to focus on their academic and personal development.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Nationality: You must be a Nigerian citizen.
- Education Level: You should be in your second year of full-time study at a Nigerian university accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
- Academic Performance: A minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale or its equivalent is required.
- Other Scholarships: You should not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship from entities in the Oil and Gas industry, both nationally and internationally.
- Encouragement for Female Applicants: Female candidates are particularly encouraged to apply.
Required Documents
As part of your application, you will need to submit the following documents:
- Recent passport-sized photograph (JPEG format, not more than 200KB).
- University or JAMB Admission Letter.
- Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Result.
- O’ Level Result(s) and ‘A’ Level / OND / NCE Result(s) as applicable.
- Letter of Identification from your State of Origin indicating your local government area.
- Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) after your first year, showing results for at least two academic semesters.
- Filled and signed Government Official Declaration Form.
Application Deadline
All applications must be submitted by June 28, 2024. It’s crucial to apply well before this date to ensure your application is considered. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about examination details via email.
How to Apply
Follow these detailed steps to apply for the 2024 NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship:

- Register: Click on the “Apply Now” tab and then “Register Now” to create an account.
- Activate Your Account: Check your email for an activation link. Click the link to activate your account.
- Complete the Application Form: Log in to your account on the scholarship site using your registered email and password.
- Download the Government Official Declaration Form: Obtain the form from here, fill it out correctly, and upload the signed form.
- Enter Personal and Educational Information: Fill in your personal details, National Identification Number, and educational information. Ensure that the name used in your application matches the names on all your documents. If not, upload a sworn affidavit or certificate to explain the discrepancy.
- Upload Required Documents: Ensure all uploaded documents are clear and accurate by viewing them after uploading.
- Upload a Passport Photograph: Ensure the photograph has a white background.
- Review Your Application: Double-check all entered information to avoid errors.
- Submit Your Application: Click “Apply Now” to submit your application.
- Confirmation: You will receive an email and SMS confirming your successful application.
- Download and Sign Your Profile: Log back into the portal, download your profile, and have your Head of Department sign it. Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile for verification purposes.
