- Must be a citizen of a country invited by NIIED (excluding Korea).
- Applicants and their parents must not hold Korean citizenship (including dual citizens).

- Master’s applicants: Bachelor’s degree holders
- Doctoral applicants: Master’s degree holders
- Research applicants: Must hold a Doctoral degree or be a university professor.
3. Grades:
- Minimum 80% on a 100-point scale, or top 20% of the class, or CGPA of at least 2.64/4.0.
- Transcripts must include CGPA or class ranking.
4. Age:
- Under 40 years old (born after September 1, 1985).
- Professors from ODA recipient countries: under 45 years old.
5. Language:
- Preferably possess TOPIK Level 3 or higher.
- Applicants without TOPIK can still apply but will be required to complete the Korean language program.
6. Health:
- Must be physically and mentally fit to pursue studies in Korea.
Important Restrictions:
- Graduates of Korean high schools or universities (including online) are not eligible.
- Applicants who have previously received a Korean Government Scholarship are generally not eligible.
