How much is it worth?
The funding portal shows an award value of £1 to £130,000 (annual). That range is a search-filter figure, not a promise that every holder receives £130,000 a year.
In practice the studentship is a standard full Home package:

Who can apply for Churchill College Brinded Studentship 2027
Eligibility is narrower than many scholarship blogs imply.

“Home” is a legal fee classification, not a casual label for anyone living in the UK. Why Churchill College is not a formality

How to apply for Churchill College Brinded Studentship 2027
There is no separate Brinded application form sitting on a college microsite. You apply for the PhD in Engineering through the Cambridge Applicant Portal and ask to be considered for funding.
The funding listing states that there are additional questions in the Applicant Portal. Answer them carefully. Incomplete funding sections are a common way to fall out of a competition you thought you had entered.

If you receive the award, budget for more than research. You will write an annual report. You will supply a short account of your experience for college communications. You will hear from the Alumni and Development Office. You may be invited to meet donors.
