    Description

    • Responsible for carrying out various mechanical repairs associated with fabrication works as assigned and / or as per the instructions from section Foreman and Engineer.
    • Responsible for fabrication & laying of pipelines & repairs in the Plant/ terminal.
    • Work as a member of a team in carrying out various mechanical maintenance activities such as installation, alignment, overhauling, repairing of machines, maintenance of de-dusting units and vulcanizing belt conveyors, etc.
    • Modify mechanical fabrication as per requirements.
    • Adhere to policies, processes, systems relating to maintenance functions
    • Inspect tools and equipment ‘especially lifting equipment’ before using and make sure they are of suitable loads, good and safe condition to use.
    • Coordinate with the foreman on preparing steel requirement & consumables, tools and material for each work assignment.
    • Analyzing the blueprints for mechanical systems to determine the specifications of the components to be constructed.
    • Constructing structural components from raw materials.
    • Using welding equipment to fuse structural components.
    • Inspecting fabricated components to ensure that they are the correct size.
    • Utilizing shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives to cut structural components as needed.
    • Creating a suitable maintenance schedule and performing system maintenance accordingly.
    • Conducting diagnostic testing on malfunctioning systems to determine the root cause of the malfunction.
    • Replacing damaged or defective structural components as needed.
    • Adhering to all work-site safety rules and regulations

    Requirements

    • HND/OND/Trade Test (Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Fitting)
    • 2-3 years Industrial Experience
    • Basic knowledge of cement production process
    • In-depth knowledge of the cement packing machines/ functions and procedures
    • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment with accuracy and speed
    • Problem solving skills
    • Ability to pay attention to details
    • Good relationship management skills

    Job Summary

    Manage the process of weighing of inbound and outbound trucks on weighbridge system and maintain the associated records.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Weigh incoming trucks at entry/exit point, ensure accuracy of relevant details in the appropriate module, depending on the product to be weighed.
    • Provide a Weigh –In Ticket indicating gross weight or offloading advice indicating net weight.
    • Receive Waybill from truck driver, retain final copy of waybill for further proceedings.
    • Provide daily reports of activities, highlighting unresolved issues for the attention of Weighbridge Supervisor.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
    • Direct traffic coming onto site and operate weighbridge.

    g. Medical Records/Health Information Management:
    BSc/HND required with current practicing license.

    h. Clinical Psychology: BSc in Clinical
    Psychology and Applied Psychology, with current practicing license.

    i. Biomedical Engineer: BSc/HND in Biomedical

    j. Public Health Officer: BSc/HND in either

    Eligibility Criteria

    GENERAL INFORMATION TO CANDIDATES

    1. Applicant must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.

    2. Applicants are warned against giving false information or tendering fake certificates. Any false information or fake certificates discovered at any stage will lead to disqualification and subsequent prosecution of the applicant.

    3. Applicants must possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Division for holders of First degree and Upper Credit for HND holders. Computer literacy will be an added advantage in all fields.

    4. Applicants must possess certificates of full registration with their respective statutory professional bodies in Nigeria.

    5. Applicants who obtained credentials from foreign institutions should ensure the certificates are authenticated by the Federal Ministry of Education and copies of all certificates are to be submitted at chosen aptitude test centers.

    6. All applicants must present O’level West African Examination Certificate (WAEC), in addition to any other results such as NECO. Credit in Mathematics and English is compulsory.

    7. NYSC discharge certificate or letter of exemption from NYSC is a compulsory requirement for enlistment.

    8. Male applicants must not be less than 1.68 meters tall while female applicants must not be less than 1.65 meters tall.

    9. Applicants should be between 22 and 28 years of age by 25 March 2024. Except Medical Officers who should not be more than 30 years.

    10. Serving personnel, Soldier/Rating/Airman, and other paramilitary services personnel must obtain a letter of attestation duly signed by the heads of their units.

    11. Applicants will be shortlisted for a qualifying aptitude test. The date and time of the aptitude test will be communicated via the Nigerian Navy website.

    12. Applicants are to choose any of the following centers for the qualifying aptitude test:

    As a Sales and Marketing Specialist, you will play a vital role in driving revenue growth and promoting the company’s products or services. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies to reach potential customers, generate leads, and convert them into loyal clients.     Strategic Effectiveness

    • Developing and implementing sales strategies for the increase of market share and profitability on a sustainable basis in line with the Annual Business Plan (ABP).
    • Delivered growth & achieved target on all key P&L metrics –   volume, revenue, market share.
    • Deliver a target a volume in Edible Oil with PBT target.
    • Manage key customer relationships to maximize business and share
    • Identify and analyze potential markets, target customers, and industry trends.
    • Develop comprehensive sales plans and strategies to achieve company sales targets.
    • To open new accounts and drive sales volume growth for our Sesame products in the African market.
    • Understanding customer requirement in terms of quality, characteristics, end usage and be able to suggest best product from Olam portfolio to customer.
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of the downstream side of business i.e. manufacturing element, trade and brokered part of supply chain.

    Operational Effectiveness

    • Define marketing campaigns and initiatives.
    • Utilize various marketing channels, including digital, social media, email, and traditional methods.
    • Develop content for marketing materials, website, and social media platforms to drive brand awareness. 
    • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, making data-driven improvements as needed.
    • B2B Sales & Business Development, Product Development, Key Account management and development
    • Achieve sales in Wholesale Channel & other emerging channels.
    • Lead and manage the demand of inventory through forecasted demand to cover market requirements.
    • Ensure high motivational levels in the team and get the team aligned with the overall strategy that we follow in-country. ​​​​​​​
    • Unearthing new products that can be added on the portfolio with synergies across supply chain.

    What role you will play in our team

    The Graduate Engineer must have a strong, fundamental background in problem-solving, a good understanding of engineering concepts and must be self-motivated with the ability to make effective individual contributions within a functional team.
