The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and meticulous researcher who deeply understands blog publishing workflows, SEO fundamentals, and content management systems like WordPress.
- You will play a vital role in content scheduling, precise editing, effective optimization, and diligent analytics tracking to ensure our blog runs smoothly, remains highly engaging, and stays current.
- This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates based in Nigeria who possess strong internet access, a proven ability to work independently, and a genuine passion for digital content and online publishing.
Key Responsibilities
- Upload and format blog posts meticulously within WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
- Proofread and edit all blog content for impeccable clarity, grammar, and adherence to SEO best practices.
- Conduct thorough keyword research and perform essential SEO optimization (meta descriptions, internal linking, tags) to enhance visibility.
- Create and manage comprehensive blog content calendars, ensuring consistent and timely publishing schedules.
- Coordinate seamlessly with writers, graphic designers, and other contributors to streamline content production.
- Source high-quality, royalty-free images and efficiently upload media to support blog posts visually.
- Monitor blog traffic and performance diligently using tools like Google Analytics, providing insights for improvement.
- Repurpose existing blog content into compelling social media snippets or engaging email newsletter segments.
- Maintain well-organized digital archives of all published and drafted content for easy access and reference.
- Stay continuously updated on emerging blogging trends, critical SEO updates, and broader digital publishing best practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in blog management, content writing, virtual assistance, or similar roles within a digital content environment
- Must currently reside in Nigeria.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with an emphasis on editorial excellence.
Technical Proficiency:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Communications, English, Marketing, or related fields).
- Proficiency with WordPress or other Content Management Systems.
- Expertise in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles, familiarity with keyword tools, and knowledge of blog formatting best practices.
- Comfortable using tools like Grammarly, Canva, Trello/Asana, and Google Analytics.
- Stable internet connection and reliable access to a computer for remote work.
- Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines and efficiently manage time across multiple content tasks.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong editorial judgment, and superior organizational skills.
