2. Job Title: Printing Operator

Job Description

Join our Printing Department and be part of a team committed to quality. safety and excellence.

JOB PURPOSE

To operate and maintain our printing machines to achieve production targets while ensuring quality. colour consistency, safety and minimal waste.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate Windmöller & Holscher (W&H) 9-Colour presses, Bobst Rotomec 9-Colour Gravure
  • presses, and Cerruti Gravure presses in accordance with approved production specifications and work instructions.
  • Set up the machine for production runs including cylinder mounting, sleeve installation, ink preparation, viscosity checks, web threading. web alignment and register adjustments.
  • Monitor colour matching, print registration ink density and print quality throughout production and make necessary adjustments to maintain customer specifications.
  • Carry out routine machine inspections and basic autonomous maintenance such as cleaning, ink fountain care, doctor blade checks and report any faults or abnormalities promptly to Engineering.
  • Ensure efficient use of materials and consumables by minimizing waste, reducing downtime and ensuring continuous production in line with safety, quality and GMP standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of Secondary School Certificate or WAEC
  • Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience as a Printing Operator in flexible packaging
  • Good knowledge of printing processes. machine operation and basic maintenance practices.
  • Commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement.

3. Job Title: Printing Manager

Description:

To lead and optimize all printing operations across W&H and Bobst Rotogravure printing lines, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and coordinate production on Windmüller & Hölscher (W&H) 9-Colour presses, Bobst Rotomec 9-Colour Gravure presses, and Cerruti Gravure presses to meet production schedules.
  • Ensure print quality excellence by driving colour consistency, print registration accuracy
  • and defect reduction across all printing platforms.
  • Optimize machine performance through monitoring of OEE, speed utilization, downtime reduction, waste control and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and coach Printing Supervisors, Lead Operators and Operators on machine operation, troubleshooting and best manufacturing practices.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Planning, Cylinder Preparation and Ink Kitchen teams to ensure seamless execution of printing operations and continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

  • B.Sc/HND in Printing Technology Polymer Technology Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years printing experience in flexible packaging with at least 3 years managing WSH and Bobst Rotogravure printing operations
  • Strong knowledge of colour
  • rotogravure printing processes, OEE improvement, weste reduction and team leadership
  • Excellent organizational, planning and communication

  • Result oriented with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and reporting tools
