Eligibility Criteria For Incountry Scholarship Scheme (Iss) Postgraduate
- Class of degree, academic transcripts, professional qualifications, and publications to be referenced.
- Membership of professional bodies.
- Viability of the study/research plan (PhD applicants only).
- Statement of purpose for MSc applicants, outlining relevance to the oil and gas industry and national development.
- Research proposal for PhD applicants, including topic, introduction, methodology, expected outcomes, relevance to the industry, and references.
- Final-year postgraduate applicants need not apply.
- Shortlisted postgraduate applicants will undergo oral interviews.
MSc. (Requirements for application):
- Full-time admission letter into any Federal University.
- Minimum Second-Class lower (2.2) in an Oil and Gas related field.
- Relevant course of study related to Management and Oil & Gas industry.
- At least 5 credits in WAEC/SSCE/NECO results (not more than 2 sittings).
- NYSC certificate or Letter of exemption.
- Certificate of indigeneship.
- Personal statement of at least 1000 words.
PhD (Requirements for application):
- Full-time admission letter into any Federal University in Nigeria.
- Minimum Second-Class lower (2.2) in an Oil and Gas/Management related field.
- Merit in a second-degree certificate in an Oil and Gas related discipline.
- At least 5 credits in WAEC/SSCE/NECO results (not more than 2 sittings).
- NYSC certificate or Letter of exemption.
- Certificate of indigeneship.
- Relevant research area to the Oil and Gas industry.
- PhD research proposal of not more than 6 pages.
Documents To Be Uploaded By Postgraduate Applicants
- First Degree Certificate or Statement of Result.
- NYSC Certificate or letter of exemption.
- WAEC/GCE/SSCE/NECO Result(s).
- Admission Letter.
- Personal Statement (only MSc applicants).
- Certificate of indigeneship.
Additional scanned documents required from PhD applicants:
- Second Degree Certificate or Statement of Result.
- PhD research proposal.
PhD Research Areas:
- Provided on the PTDF SCHOLARSHIP PORTAL.
Eligibility Criteria For Incountry Scholarship Scheme (Iss) Undergraduate
- Full-time students in any Federal University in Nigeria.
- Presently in 200 level of study.
- Course of study related to the Oil & Gas industry.
- Possess 5 credits in WAEC/SSCE/NECO including English Language and Mathematics.
- Valid admission letter into the University.
- Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0.
- Transcripts for the first year of study.
Undergraduate applicants must have:
- Completed first year two semester examinations and are presently in second year of studies.
- Studies in Oil and Gas related fields.
Undergraduate applicants must upload:
- Evidence of statement of WAEC/SSCE/NECO results.
- Letter of admission into the University.
- First year academic transcript(s).
- Certificate of indigeneship.
- Personal statement of at least 300 words stating reasons for undertaking the course of study.
Method of Application
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
- Applicants must have a National Identity Number (NIN) and verify it before proceeding with the application (NIMC verification charges apply).
- Previous beneficiaries of PTDF scholarships for the same or lower degree category cannot apply.
- Current beneficiaries of other scholarships need not apply.
- Application is restricted to Federal Universities and specific courses.
- Part-time studies admissions will not be considered for all categories.
