About Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships
The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship program aims to promote international exchange and research collaboration between Switzerland and over 180 countries. Administered by the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS), the program supports young researchers with master’s or PhD degrees and artists with bachelor’s degrees. It offers research scholarships for post-graduate researchers at Swiss universities and institutes, requiring academic supervisor nominations. Art scholarships are available for arts master’s degrees in Swiss conservatories or universities of the arts, with limitations on eligible countries. The program emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration, academic excellence, and cultural enrichment through international partnerships.
