York’s process is application-based. There is no automatic consideration for PISE.
Step 1: Apply to York. Use York’s undergraduate application if you are applying only to York, or OUAC if you are applying to multiple Ontario universities. If You Do Not Win PISE
Do not treat this as the only York option.
For Fall 2026 / Winter 2027, York also lists automatic international entrance awards based on final admission average, with no separate application:
- York International Scholarship of Distinction: up to $37,500 over four years for very high averages
- York International Merit Award: up to $25,000 over four years
- York International Entrance Award: $5,000 one-time
- York International Transfer Award: $2,500 one-time for eligible transfer students

After you enroll, continuing awards and bursaries run through York’s FAAS process. That is a different system from this entrance scholarship.
Protect Yourself While You Apply
York applies scholarship funds to your student account. The university will not ask for your banking password, one-time codes, or tuition payment through a random text, WhatsApp chat, or unofficial email. If a message pressures you to “confirm the scholarship” by paying a fee or sharing passport scans outside York portals, treat it as fraud.
