Application Requirements
To apply for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Academic Qualifications: Qualify academically for admission to the University of Edinburgh for a relevant degree program.
Overcome Barriers: Have faced significant barriers to education, be they social, financial, personal, practical, or health-related.
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Graduation: Have graduated from an undergraduate program by September 2023.
Age: Be 35 or under as of September 1, 2024.
Postgraduate Degree Status: Should not have previously completed a postgraduate degree and must not be enrolled (or applying to enroll) at a separate university while on the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship.
Online Programs Specifics:
For Online Masters: Same criteria as above.
For Online Postgraduate Diploma: Can have an undergraduate or Master’s degree from a Sub-Saharan African university (provided they will graduate from either degree by December 7, 2023).
Required Documents
Applicants will need to submit their:
Final official university degree certificate and
Final official transcript.

Applications open on October 23, 2023 (10 am UK time).
The eligibility assessment deadline is on December 1, 2023 (5 pm UK time).
Applications close on December 7, 2023 (5 pm UK time).
Applicants must qualify academically for admission to the University of Edinburgh. The application must be submitted through the online application system, and it will not be accepted outside this platform.
