The Purpose
To manage employee-related statutory deductions and remittances, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Nigerian regulatory standards in alignment with company policies.
About The Job
- Calculate and process payroll statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, Pension, NHF, NSITF, ITF).
- Ensure accurate and timely remittance to statutory bodies and third-party institutions related to payroll.
- Maintain up-to-date payroll statutory remittance schedules and ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Collaborate with payroll and finance teams to validate statutory payment files.
- Reconcile payroll statutory accounts monthly with finance and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare payroll statutory reports and documentation for audits and inspections.
- Stay informed of changes in statutory payroll regulations and adjust processes accordingly.
- Assist in preparing monthly payroll payment summaries and approvals.
- Support documentation and filing of payroll-related remittance proofs.
- Manage relationships with statutory bodies and ensure professional communication
Requirements
The person must:
- Have a good verbal and written communication skills.
- Have strong knowledge of Nigerian statutory payroll regulations (PAYE, Pension, NHF, NSITF, ITF, etc.).
- Be proficient in payroll processing systems and HR/finance ERP software.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy in handling payroll data.
