Selection Process: How Are Candidates Chosen?

The NDDC follows a strict and transparent selection process to ensure only the most qualified applicants receive the scholarship. Below are the key steps:

1. Online Application Submission

Candidates must submit their applications through the official NDDC website: www.nddc.gov.ng.

2. Preliminary Shortlisting

Applicants are screened based on:

• WASSCE/NECO results
• Undergraduate degree classification (First Class, Second-Class Upper, or Lower)
• Proof of Niger Delta origin (Local Government Identification Letter)

3. Computer-Based Test (CBT)

Shortlisted candidates will take a computer-based test (CBT), which will be conducted in Rivers State by designated consultants.

4. Minimum Score Requirement

Candidates must score at least 70% in the CBT to proceed to the next stage.

5. Final Shortlisting & Verification

Candidates who meet the required test scores will be further shortlisted. Final verification will be conducted by the Local Government Area (LGA) and Community Development Committee (CDC) to confirm authenticity.
