About The Program
- The MTN ICT and Business Skills Training Program is back for its 6th phase, and it’s bigger than ever. This youth development initiative is designed to equip young Nigerian entrepreneurs with the digital and business skills they need to keep their ventures competitive in today’s fast-paced tech-driven economy.
- Since its launch in 2018, the program has trained over 4,000 young entrepreneurs across 16 states, in partnership with global industry leaders like Oracle, KPMG, IBM, Cisco, Google, Meta, and Microsoft. Now, Phase 6 promises to impact 3,000 more youths, with Microsoft and Meta leading the charge.
What’s in it for Participants?
The Phase 6 training will run as a 5-week online program, featuring masterclasses from top industry experts. Here’s what participants can look forward to:
- Free Data Support: Participants will be provided with data throughout the program to ensure a smooth learning experience.
- Expert-Led Training:
- Microsoft will teach Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age, ICT for Business Success, and introduce participants to Generative AI skills.
- Meta will deliver training on building strong brands and growing businesses online through Meta Boost for Small Business.
- Grant Opportunity: The top 300 participants will be awarded an Equipment Grant worth ₦90,000,000 in total.

To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Be a Nigerian male or female, between 18 and 35 years old.
- Business Ownership: Own and manage a small business that has been in operation for no longer than 2 years.
- Location: The business must be located in one of these states: Oyo, Kano, Nasarawa, Imo, Rivers, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Borno, Kaduna, Katsina, Adamawa, Anambra, Cross River, Jigawa, Kogi, Lagos, Edo, Ebonyi, Ekiti, Kebbi, Yobe and Niger.
