  • Be a citizen of and permanently resident in a developing country listed by the International Development Association
  • Apply for a full-time, one-year taught Master’s programme in an eligible school at the University of Leeds
  • Study an area related to the economic, social, or technological development of their home country
  • Hold, or expect to hold by September 2026, an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK Upper Second Class Honours
  • Pay tuition fees at the international rate
  • Meet the University of Leeds English language requirements by 2 February 2026
  • Not have studied for one year or more in a developed country
  • Be unable to fund UK study independently or through family support
  • Agree to return to their home country after completing the programme

The scholarship must be taken up in September 2026.
